Action folded to Mike "Timex" McDonald in the hijack and he raised to 5,000, which Igor Kurganov three-bet to 10,000 from the button. Andrew Lichtenberger was in the small blind and choose to four-bet to 31,000, which inspired McDonald to five-bet 52,500.
Kurganov thought long and hard before putting in a six-bet to 95,000, and it proved a wise decision as both Lichtenberger and McDonald released their hands.
After Bryn Kenney and [Removed:283] checked the flop, Marc-Andre Ladouceur fired 13,500. Phil Ivey called before Ignat Liviu and Philipp Gruissem folded. Kenney and [Removed:288] also folded, leaving heads-up action to the turn.
On fourth street, the fell and both players checked. Then, the completed the board on the river. Ladouceur fired 35,300 and Ivey tank-called.
Ladouceur showed the for two pair and Ivey mucked his hand.
Players are now on a break. During this time Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier's table, which includes Sami Kelopuro, Luke Schwartz and Cheung Yin Sun, will be moved to the TV feature table.
Cards should be back in the air in about 20 minutes.
Sorel Mizzi is seated in the tournament. Either he slipped in uninvited or he ponied up €50,000 and is taking his shot at EPT glory... we're going with the latter.
Phil Ivey has been eliminated. The man who got all of his chips was [Removed:283] and here's how it happened.
Ivey had raised preflop to 5,000 and was called by three players, including [Removed:288] in the small blind. The flop was and [Removed:288] led out for 8,500. Ivey raised to 30,000 and play folded back to [Removed:288]. He made the call.
The turn was a and [Removed:288] led again, this time for 65,000 into Ivey. Ivey moved all in for approximately 140,000 and [Removed:288] called. Ivey held , but was behind the for [Removed:288] who had turned two pair.
The river card provided no help for Ivey and his aces went down in flames to [Removed:288]'s two pair. [Removed:288] collected the chips and moved to nearly 400,000. Ivey hit the rail, but we'll keep an eye out for a possible rebuy from him.
With around 80,000 in the pot and a board reading , Bryn Kenney checked from the big blind and watched [Removed:283] fired out 30,000. Kenney wasted little time in making the call and then checked the river, inspiring [Removed:288] to do the same. The latter rolled over for nines and eights, which was good as Kenney sent his hand to the muck.
We caught the action on the turn with a board reading and about 60,000 in the pot. Justin Bonomo was in the big blind and led out for 47,000, which Sorel Mizzi called from the under-the-gun position.
Both players then checked the river, and Bonomo turned over for a flopped flush. Mizzi double checked his own cards and then gently tossed them to the muck.
At one of the secondary feature tables, Anatoly Gurtovoy opened the hand with a 10,000 raise and found a customer in Igor Kurganov. The rest of the table folded and the two went heads up into the flop.
The board ran and both players checked. The on the turn didn't trigger much action either as both checked again.
However, Kurganov decided to get things going by betting 7,500 after the came on the river only to see Gurtovoy raise to 25,000. After thinking for a few seconds, Kurganov finally folded his hand and Gurtovoy showed an and collected the pot.
Over on the feature table, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier opened for 5,000 from early position and cleared the field all the way to Timothy Adams, who made the call from the big blind.
Both players proceeded to check both the flop and turn, and then Adams bet 8,300 on the river. Grospellier quickly released his hand and gave up on the pot. It wasn't much of a hand, but given our restricted access to the feature table, we thought we'd pass it on.
