Torelli Gone

From under the gun, Alec Torelli raised to 1,200. Action folded over to Robert Finlay on the button and he three-bet to 3,500. The two blinds folded, then Torelli reraised all in for approximately 18,000. Finlay called and tabled the {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. Torelli held a worse {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Torelli was eliminated.

Harsh End for Yunis

Nick Yunis
Nick Yunis

Nick Yunis won't be adding any more points to his Player of the Year standing from the main event as he has been eliminated.

Christian Zetzche, a German colleague of ours, brought us brief news of his exit.

He dropped down to 11,000 when a Swedish table mate made a move against him and made runner runner straight to beat his smaller straight.

Then there was late position raise and a flat call (same Swedish guy) on the button before Yunis squeezed all-in with ace-nine. The original raiser called with ace-six out of a 20,000 stack before the Swedish player re-shoved with pocket sevens. We're not sure if the other called off the other half of his stack, but we do know that the Swede's sevens stood up to win the pot.

Extended Dinner Break For...

Patrick Tinner Given Penalty

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Patrick Tinner has just folded out of turn over on Table 3 and he will not be doing it again in a hurry because it has just cost him a two hand penalty.

Tinner mucked his hand out of turn and stood to leave the table. As he did the dealer announced "penalty" and Tinner did not take her seriously so the floor was called. Gianluca came over and ruled that because he left his seat he would not have to endure a two hand penalty and with that Tinner left his seat again and headed to wherever he was going before he was penalised.
