Lopes Moves Back Up

Bruno Lopes
Bruno Lopes

In early position, McLean Karr opened to 8,500, and Bruno Lopes three-bet to 20,500 a couple seats over. Karr made the call, and off they went.

The flop came {6-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades}, and Karr check-called another 26,000. The turn {3-Spades} went check-check. On the river {10-Clubs}, Lopes got another 60,000 into the pot with Karr check-calling him down.

Lopes turned up {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs}, and the black queens were the only hand we'd see. Karr mucked his inferior holdings, slipping back to about 120,000 in the process.
