James Akenhead has just turned up to play, and his presence requires the opening of a new table. Table 14 is now in play, and players were pulled from the rest of the field to make a full table, and it's another tough one.
Akenhead is in the one seat over there, and he's joined by PCA High Roller champ Alex Bilokur, EPT8 Loutraki champ Zimnan Ziyard, and EPT6 Warsaw finalist Oleksandr Vaserfirer. Yikes.

Martin Staszko had opened preflop and James Dempsey three-bet in position behind him, the Czech player flat-calling to see a

flop which both players checked. Staszko fired out 700 on the
turn and Dempsey made the call to see the
on the river.
Staszko eyed up his opponent and opted to check and after a 10 second dwell Dempsey checked back. Staszko showed
but he'd been pipped on the river by the Englishman's
. Dempsey is back up to about 30,000
It's not a trait we're known for but it's early days so give us a chance.
James Dempsey had made it to the turn when the board read

. He check-folded to a 2,300 bet from Dobromir Nikov.
Barny Boatman didn't even make it that far. He raised from the hijack but folded when the cut-off three-bet him.

We've just watched Team PokerStars Pro Toni Judet enter the field, and we followed him across the room with our eyes to see where he'd land. He's drawn Table 7, which had already been the toughest table in the room. Have a look at the lineup there now, minus the four poor players whom we don't recognize.

Marcel Bjerkmann was not the only player to last less than a level. The following players got little value for the 5k Euro outlay.

That's a very short EPT Madrid for Marcel Bjerkmann, he had a hand, kings, but Florian Schleps
sitting to his right held aces. Ergo, a quick messy exit for the Norwegian.

Henrique Pinho tried to use his position and aggression to win a pot, but he had to concede defeat.
The Team PokerStars Pro raised from under the gun and was called from the button before the big blind three-bet to 1,100. Pinho put in a four-bet to 2,225 and the big blind was the only caller. The flop fell

and the big blind check-raised the Portuguese's 1,850 c-bet up to 5,100. It did the job as he tank folded.
