Chouity Pounds a Double

We didn't see how the money got it, but we're assuming the money went in on the {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {8-Hearts} flop. However it went down, Nicolas Chouity was at risk for his last 39,100 with {K-Spades} {J-Spades}. Alex Anter put him to the test with the {J-Diamonds} {J-Hearts}, but he could not hold. The {10-Spades} turn locked up the double for the EPT6 Grand Final champion, and he's moved up to about 90,000.

Sigh...

You know it's probably not going to be your day when you push all in for just 7,700 preflop from early position and everyone folds with you showing {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}.

That's the kind of day that Olivier Busquet is having.

Gent Gets Them All Back

Paul Berende opened to 2,200 preflop and David Gent was the only caller to see the {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Berende led for 2,700 and Gent made it 6,500 to go only for the Dutchman to then three-bet to 11,100. Gent moved all in and Berende quickly called but then said, "That's the hand I didn't want to see..."

Berende: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}
Gent: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {6-Clubs} turn left Berende drawing dead before the {3-Hearts} river and Gent had him covered to send him to the rail.

Moorman Bossing on the Table of Death

Anton Wigg opened to 2,000 from the low-jack and Jake Cody made it 4,400 from the small blind. Chris Moorman then eyed up both stacks and then put in a massive stack of blue chips in the middle to set both players in.

Wigg folded with a sigh and then Cody folded after a couple of minutes thought.

Moorman has since, according to his twitter feed, bust Wigg when he managed to make a straight holding {6-}{5-} against the Swede's {3-}{3-} on a {Q-}{4-}{3-} flop.

Cool, Shen

Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes
Bruno "Kool Shen" Lopes

Under the gun, David Vamplew opened with a mini-raise to 2,000, and Alexander Petersen flatted a couple seats over. On the button, Bruno Lopes stuck in a three-bet to 6,100 total, and Vamplew and Petersen both called to see the flop.

It rolled out {6-Spades} {10-Spades} {3-Spades}, and Vamplew check-called another 13,000 with Petersen folding out of the way. Heads-up now, the turn brought the {2-Hearts} an a check from both men, and the {K-Clubs} hit the river. Vamplew opted to lead out into the pot with what looked like 11,900. Lopes quickly called, and his {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} were better than Vamplew's {Q-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}, earning him a nice pot at the Scots expense.
