Cailly Cracks Aces with 10-3... for a Bit

Chris Moneymaker opened for 700 from early position and received a call from Ronny Kaiser in middle position. Lucille Cailly then came in with a three-bet to 1,900 from the button, and Jiachen Gong opted to four-bet all in from the small blind for 5,275 total. Moneymaker and Kaiser both got out of the way, and Cailly asked for a count.

"Don't think too long," Gong said.

"I won't," Cailly said. The woman who finished runner-up in the Season 8 Grand Final stated she didn't really want to make the call but did so nonetheless.

Showdown
Cailly: {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Gong: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The table got a good laugh at Cailly's mediocre holdings, but the {J-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop did give Gong a pair of tens. When the dealer burned and turned the {10-Spades}, the table went deathly quiet as Cailly hit a ten to trip up and take the lead. Just when it looked like Cailly was going to crack aces, the {Q-Hearts} spiked on the river to save Gong with a Broadway straight. "Wow," someone said from across the table, which pretty much summed up the hand.

Meanwhile, Ben Hamnett has been eliminated from the tournament.
