Olofsson Busts

Erik Olofsson pushed his stack of 134,000 from the big blind before the flop and Artem Metalidi answered in the hijack seat.

Showdown:
Olofsson: {5-Spades} {5-Diamonds}
Metalidi: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}

Metalidi had Olofsson covered, but needed to hit the board to eliminate the Swede. The flop went {7-Hearts} {9-Spades} {J-Spades} pairing Metalidi's jack and putting Olofsson on the verge of elimination. The {4-Spades} on the turn made not change, while the {J-Diamonds} on the river gave Metalidi trips sending Olofsson to the rail.

Feels Like Queens

Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Action folded around to Iulian Ruxandescu in the small blind and he asked for a count of Justin Bonomo in the big. "I haven't looked yet, but it feels like queens," Bonomo said of his hand before telling Ruxandescu he had approximately 160,000.

Ruxandescu then moved all in, and Bonomo looked at his cards before quickly calling.

Showdown
Bonomo: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Ruxandescu: {A-}{6-}

While it wasn't queens, Bonomo had woke up with an even more powerful hand. The {J-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop paired Ruxandescu, but he needed more help if he hoped to eliminated a tough competitor. The {5-Spades} was useless, and so was the {2-Diamonds}, which meant Bonomo received a much-needed double.

Nhouyvanisvong No More

On a monotone flop of {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{A-Clubs}, Charly Maracchione checked to Luca Moschitta who fired out 29,000. Eric Nhouyvanisvong flat called only to have Maracchione check-raise all in. Moschitta let go of his cards and Nhouyvanisvong called.

Nhouyvanisvong: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Maracchione: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Nhouyvanisvong was behind and looking for a club to make the nuts. The {6-Hearts} turn was of no help to him and neither was the {2-Hearts} river. Nhouyvanisvong was sent to the rail while Maracchione has boosted his stack to 550,000.

Forsmo Continues to Thrive

Things have been going good for Inge Forsmo over the last couple of days, and he shows no sign of slowing down.

In a recent hand, Forsmo opened for 25,000 and was met with a three-bet to 55,000 by Mauro Mancin. The rest of the field got out of the way, Forsmo four-bet to 125,000, and Mancin moved all in for 386,000. Forsmo made the call an it was off to the races.

Showdown
Mancin: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Forsmo: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Mancin got his money in good, but his face dropped a bit when the flop fell {9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to give Forsmo the lead. Neither the {K-Diamonds} turn nor {8-Hearts} river provided relief for Mancin, and he was bounced from the Main Event.

Forsmo Has the Force

Inge Forsmo
Inge Forsmo

Inge Forsmo is just smashing his opponents at the table scooping one pot after another. First he four-bet to 121,000 on the button before the flop after Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 26,000 in the middle position and then Jason Tompkins three-bet to 59,000 in the hijack seat. Both Timoshenko and Tompkins folded and Forsmo collected the pot.

Then on the very next hand Forsmo three-bet to 66,000 in the cutoff seat after Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 26,000 from under the gun. Timoshenko let off his hand and Forsmo flipped 8-3 offsuit.
