Brammer Boasting a Big Stack

Fabrice Soulier was faced with a 102,000-chip bet from Chris Brammer, with the board reading {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Soulier tanked for a considerable amount of time, then called.

"Two pair," Brammer said softly, tabling {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

Soulier mucked his hand, and Brammer was shipped a massive, 300,000-chip pot.

Double Dream Alive in the Valleys

Roberto Romanello looking for another picture like this one
Roberto Romanello looking for another picture like this one

Roberto Romanello is back smiling (and chatting of course) after winning a race to double up.

The action folded around to Jorma Nuutinen on the button and he raised to 12,000 before calling when Romanello shoved for 122,000 from the big blind.

Nuutinen: {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Romanello: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The board ran {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} to make Romanello a full house better than the board offered .

Eames Eliminated

The John Eames comeback was very short lived. He popped by our desk and told us the bad news.

He shoved with ace-deuce and was called by Ramin Hajiyev in the big blind with {j-Spades}{8-Spades}. The latter flopped an {8-Hearts} and that was enough to do Eames.

The Gambler

Vincent van der Fluit (Day 2)
Vincent van der Fluit (Day 2)

Marton Czuczor open-shoved for his last 47,000 from early position, and the action folded to Vincent van der Fluit, who called on the button. Both blinds released, and the hands were opened.

Czuczor: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Van der Fluit: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop didn't change much, but the {q-Spades} on the turn gave van der Fluit a pair and it only left Czuczor with two outs. The river was a red card with no sides, but the {2-Diamonds} was a brick, eliminating the Hungarian from the tournament.

"It just can't be suited," van der Fluit told his neighbor Johnny Lodden, pointing to his hand.

"You're more of a gambler than me," Lodden returned, smiling.

Boyaciyan Respects Donnini

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

David Boyaciyan of the Netherlands opened to 12,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Danilo Donnini, who was seated in the cutoff. Donnini moved all-in for 113,000 in total and Boyaciyan began thinking about what to do.

The pair talked briefly, Donnini saying his shove was for only 21-23 big blinds, and shortly afterwards Boyaciyan said, "I respect you," and folded, turning over {A-Clubs} in the process.

Donnini flashed Boyaciyan the {A-Diamonds} and later stated he held ace-queen.

Driscoll Leaves Russkih With Only 10BB

Jonathon Driscoll is sitting behind 230,000 chips, a large percentage of those used to belong to Konstantin Russkih until a few moments ago.

Russkih was all-in with {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Driscoll at risk, though holding the superior {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The ladies held on an {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} board and Russkih was left with just 60,000 chips.

Never Ever Celebrate Too Soon

Emeric Styevlik decided to mess around with the poker gods and was instantly taught a lesson.

He open shoved for 230,000 from the hijack and Konstantin Russkih made a call all in for 72,000 on the button.

Styevlik: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Russkih: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The flop fell {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Styevlik pumped his fist and grunted a little. He was soon grunted for reasons other thatn celebration when the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.
