Everybody Loves a Chop Pot

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Robin Ylitalo opened to 80,000 on the button, Jeff Rossiter defended his big blind, and the flop came {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {k-Spades}, Rossiter led out for 115,000, and Ylitalo called.

The river brought a second king and a third heart - the {k-Hearts} - and Rossiter quickly fired 250,000. Ylitalo called with {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and Rossiter showed {k-}{6-} for the same hand.

Huge Clash Gives Karakousis a Monster Lead

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Georgios Karakousis
Georgios Karakousis

Georgios Karakousis raised to 80,000 from under the gun plus three and Ludovic Geilich three-bet to 170,000 from the button. These players clashed before in a huge pot and it seemed like they were bound to clash again.

Karakousis put in a four-bet to 380,000 and put the pressure back on Geilich. We all know Geilich hates folding and he made the call.

The flop brought {5-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Karakousis grabbed chips betting 300,000. Geilich hardly wasted any time and made the call.

On the turn the {A-Diamonds} hit and Karakousis went into the tank for quite a while with more than 1.4 million chips already in the pot. Finally the Greek player bet 450,000 and the pressure was back on Geilich who quickly called again!

The river was the {Q-Spades} and Karakousis checked to Geilich quickly bet 750,000. Karakousis had 2.2 million chips left and sighed before making the call.

Geilich confidently turned over {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for a rivered set but that was not good enough. Karakousis showed his {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and with top set he took down the pot boosting his stack up to 5.3 million!

Big Pot for Ylitalo

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Robin Ylitalo
Robin Ylitalo

Robin Ylitalo opened to 85,000 in early position, Georgios Karakousis three-bet to 215,000 from the cutoff, and the action folded back to Ylitalo, who called.

The flop fell {9-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Ylitalo checked, and Karakousis quickly fired 200,000. Ylitalo called.

The turn was a repeat ten - the {10-Clubs} - and Ylitalo checked again. Karakousis reached for yellow T25,000 chips, cutting out 350,000 and sliding them forward. Ylitalo reached into his own stack, and called.

The {6-Hearts} completed the board, Ylitalo tabled {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}, and Karakousis mucked.

Two Hands With Karakousis; Players on Break

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Georgios Karakousis raised to 60,000 from early position, Robin Ylitalo defended his big blind, and Karakousis continued for 60,000 on a flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. Ylitalo check-called the bet.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, Ylitalo knuckled again, and Karakousis checked behind.

The {7-Clubs} completed the board, both players checked, and Ylitalo took down the pot with an ace.

A few hands later, Karakousis raised to 60,000 from under the gun, Kully Sidhu three-bet to 133,000 on his direct left, and the flop fell {5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Karakousis checked, Sidhu continued for 180,000, and Karakousis called.

The turn was the {k-Spades}, bringing a third spade, and the Greek tanked for 30 seconds before checking. Sidhu quickly fired 250,000, Karakousis check-raised all in, and Sidhu snap-folded.

The players are now on a 20-minute break.
