Alekberovas Joins Vamplew and O’Dwyer

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Anaras Alekberovas opened for 525 in the cut-off and David Vamplew called on the button as did the big blind. They saw a flop of {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}. The big blind checked and Alekberovas continued for 1,200. Vamplew put them to the test with a raise to 3,600 and when the big blind folded Alekberovas flicked his cards nonchalantly to the dealer.

Entries Rise to 82

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Coming up to the first break of the day and the High Roller has attracted 82 entrants so far. Of course there are only 81 players at the moment as Daron Davidozitz's {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} clashed all-in pre versus the {a-Spades}{A-Diamonds} of Bernard Guigon.

Mantel vs. Katchalov

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

With 15,000 in the pot and a board reading {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, Ariel Mantel bet 2,500 and received a call from Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov in the hijack. When the {2-Spades} completed the board on the river, Mantel bet a hefty 14,000 and Katchalov wasted little time in releasing his hand.

If one man stands out in the Main Event, which is down to 41 players, it’s Czech player Vit Blachut. Bearing a striking resemblance to Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, he had conjured up a stack of more than 800,000 coming into Day 4. But it’s not what he looks like but how he plays which is interesting, as the PokerStars Blog reports.

Eugene Katchalov Sits Down

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov has just entered the High Roller and is sat a few seats to left of PokerStars Team Online player Isaac Haxton’s. Joining that table as well is Martin Hanowski from Germany in a grim reaper hoodie. Katchalov called an open for 525 on the button as did Hanowski in the big blind and three players saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Checked to Katchalov in position who bet 700 and found just the one caller in Hanowski. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Hanowski led for 2,000. Katchalov gave it up.

Another for Little

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante
Jonathan Little
Jonathan Little

On a flop of {6-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} the pre-flop raiser continued for 1,300. Jonathan Little called on the button and the big blind raised to 4,000. That got the opener out of the way but Little, sporting mirror shades and a notebook, made the call in position. Turn card {3-Clubs} and a lead from the big blind for 7,500 which little called. River {j-Diamonds} and the big blind checked. Little bombed the river for around 16,000 and took it down.
