Bring Your Trunks

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened that action for 1,700. Ariel Mantel put out the call as did Eugene Katchalov, Marc-Etienne Mclaughlin on the button and big blind Martin Hanowski. Five players saw the flop come {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}. It checked round to Ariel Mantel who bet 1,700. Katchalov called but everyone else folded. Turn card {a-Clubs} was no deterrent to Mantel who bet 2,500 and again Katchalov called. River card was the {2-Clubs} and Mantel checked. Katchalov mulled it over and bet 3,500. Mantel went in the tank. The board was so wet he probably wished he was wearing swimming trunks. With a shake of his head he released his hand.

Eiler Eliminates Panyak

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

With 20,000 in the pot and a board reading {j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Maxim Panyak bet an unknown amount only to have Germany's Andreas Eiler raise all in for right around 43,000. Panyak had a little less than that and thought for about 90 seconds before calling off.

Eiler: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Panyak: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Eiler was ahead with top set, but Panyak held a flush draw. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {2-Clubs}, the last card Panyak would see in the High Roller... unless of course he decides to exercise his single reentry option.

King Casino Owner Runs Into Kings

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

After the hijack opened for 800, Leon Tsoukernik called from the cutoff and action folded to World Series of Poker bracelet winner Pascal Lefrancois, who three-bet to 3,200 from the big blind. Both his opponents call, the flop fell {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and Lefrancois led out for 4,200.

The original raiser folded, Tsoukernik called, and the dealer burned and turned the {2-Diamonds}. Lefrancois bet 10,000, Tsoukernik called, and the {9-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. Lefrancois kept the pressure on with a bet of 14,000, and Tsoukernik thought for nearly a minute before making the call.

Lefrancois rolled over the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, and it was good as Tsoukernik simply mucked.

McLellan Mixes it Up

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

UKIPT Isle of Man Main Event champion Duncan McLellan is a builder by trade but since that success he has been hitting the circuit and enjoying his poker including the Main Event here. The first two levels haven’t been kind to him but following some friendly banter with Steve O’Dwyer, who he called “My biggest fan.”, he sat back down ready to get in the action. Having lost a couple of thousand in the previous pot folding on the river he was involved in the next hand.
Sitting in the big blind McLellan called the under-the-gun raise of Jesse Yahinuma from the USA. They saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} which they both checked. Turn card {10-Hearts} and McLellan led out for 2,100 which was called. Last card was {q-Spades} and McLellan bet a bigger 6,100 which seemed to confuse Yahinuma, but he made the call and mucked when McLellan showed {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the flopped flush.

Shak Attack

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

The action was five ways to the flop of {5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Todd Terry in the cut-off bet 1,750 and was raised by Dan Shak to 4,000. The other players folded and Terry made the call. Turn card {2-Hearts} saw Terry check and Shak making a small bet of 1,500 which was called. The river was the {2-Spades}, another check from Terry and again a small bet from Shak of 2,000. Terry mucked his cards {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} face up saying “I had a lot of outs.” A wide grin spread across Shak’s face as he replied, “That’s for sure.”

"That's What Happens When You Show Up Two Hours Late"

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante
Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

Just before the break, a new player took his seat in the tournament. We're talking about the entertaining Leon Tsoukernik, who owns the Czech Republic's King's Casino Rozvadov.

"One hand and there's a break?" Tsoukernik joked with the floor.

"That's what happens when you show up two hours late," was the reply, an answer that brought a smile to Tsoukernik's face.

Back at the 2012 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final, Tsoukernik made some headlines for winning €70,000 on the dinner break of that high roller. He then sat back down and was eliminated by Philipp Gruissem, Not to be deterred, Tsoukernik, took his €70,000 back to the craps table and spun it up to over €100,000 before returning to buy-in for his second bullet. Talk about a freeroll.

Even more interesting, Tony G and Tsoukernik played a massive heads-up match back in February that resulted in some crazy million-dollar swings. Tony G and Tsoukernik began their match by playing €2,000/€4,000 pot-limit Omaha on Friday, Feb. 15. Tsoukernik was a €500,000 winner in their first match, but Tony got redemption two days later.

After falling behind another €1 million that Sunday, Tony G offered to jack up the stakes to €5,000/€10,000, and subsequently won a massive €1.85 million pot that allowed him to leave as a €300,000 winner overall. Tony explained the action to PokerNews:

"Basically, Leon just cracked it at the end and shoved it in blind. I ended up having aces, {A-}{A-}{J-}{7-}, against {J-}{J-}{6-}{7-} I believe. We just decided to let the last hand run out and it got me out of the hole.

"Playing with the owner of the casino, Leon, it's just a really great casino, and they take great care of me," he added. "It's also been profitable on top of it. Leon's a great guy, and I'm going back there in a couple days to start again."

Finally, Tsoukernik is also famous for flying from poker tournament to poker tournament in his very own helicopter. While you can't see Tsoukernik, here is a video of him taking off from the King's Casino Rozvadov in the said helicopter
