Williams Drops Down

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Team PokerStars Pro David Williams is down to 8,900 after losing a big pot when he took two large stabs with bottom pair on a {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} board. He fired the flop and the river in a three-way pot, but failed to steal the pot away. He'll be looking to spin back up in the next few levels.

Winning Flips

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Josef Antos from Czech Republic was all in pre-flop for his last 13,900 and while Dietrich Fast didn’t love it with a stack of 49,000 he certainly didn’t hate it and called with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. It was a you know what as Antos showed the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and half rose from his chair. The flop though had other ideas, {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} shooting Antos into the lead. Turn {7-Diamonds}, river {j-Diamonds} and Antos survived.

Kitai Emerges

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

After a raise to 800, a three bet to 2,000 and a call, Davidi Kitai was able to squeeze to 6,900 from the small blind. Everyone but the last player folded, he called. Kitai continued with a 4,800 bet on {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and his opponent soon raised it up to, what appeared, 9,600. Kitai thought about it for a little while, and eventually called. The {3-Diamonds} hit the turn and both players checked. The {9-Hearts} fell on the river and Kitai bet out 8,800. His opponent folded, Kitai grabbed the rather large pot without showing his hand.

Luca Pagano Eliminates Chris Moorman

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Luca Pagano
Luca Pagano

Just before the dinner break Luca Pagano won a monster pot and in the process eliminated Chris Moorman.

Pagano raised to 900 from under-the-gun, both Kitty Kuo and Andrey Shaporin flat called and when it reached Chris Moorman in the big blind he raised it up to 4,200. Both Pagano and Shaporin called.

So there was already around 13,000 in the pot by the time the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop hit the felt, Moorman continued for 4,700 and both players called. On the {q-Hearts} turn Moorman moved all-in for 13,500, Pagano raised to 25,100 - which was enough to set Shaporin all-in - and the Russian then tanked before folding {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} face-up. Moorman turned over {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} whilst Pagano had two black jacks for a set. The river was the {4-Diamonds} meaning that Shaporin would've made the flush had he stuck around.

Pagano will be glad he didn't as he's now got 110,000 and is one of the chip leaders.
