Same Hand for Baranov and Piqué

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On the final board of {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, 2012 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event runner-up Sergii Baranov bet 13,000 into three opponents. Paul Berende and Dan Smith both folded quickly, but Gerard Piqué took a little bit of time. Eventually, Piqué folded and showed that he was thinking with the {8-Hearts} for two pair of eights and jacks. Baranov showed the {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for eights and jacks as well, and then Piqué grabbed both his cards to show that he had the {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the same hand. Piqué folded, though, and Baranov won the pot.

Rheem's Day is Done

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We arrived in time to catch the end of a blind vs. blind battle between Chino Rheem and Nikolaus Teichert. Teichert was pondering the all in bet of about 145,000 from Rheem before the flop.

"Alright," shrugged Teichert. "I call,"

He slapped {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} onto the felt and Rheem rolled over {A-Spades}{6-Spades}. The board ran clean with {Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Rheem was sent packing, allowing Teichert to drag in the pot and move up to 395,000.

Chartier Busts Andrulis to Seize Chip Lead

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Samuel Chartier

Action began when Dan Smith made a raise to 5,000 from the button. Kristijonas Andrulis cut out a three-bet to 13,300 from the small blind and Sam Chartier thought for a bit in the big blind. He eventually moved out a four-bet to 32,400 which caused Smith to muck his cards.

Andrulis announced an all in bet for right around 100,000 total and Chartier snapped him off. Andrulis showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} but was in dire need of improvement to beat Chartier's {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. The flop was no help for Andrulis as it came {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and the {8-Spades} turn left him hunting for an ace on the river. Alas, the final card was the {2-Diamonds} and Andrulis was sent packing.

Chartier dragged in the pot and is now the biggest stack in the room with around 475,000.

Philippe Ktorza moved all in before the flop for his last roughly 35,000 and Abi Khaitan put in a large raise over the top from the small blind. The big blind folded and the hands were tabled.

Ktorza: {J-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Khaitan: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

The board fell {7-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and Ktorza was able to double up to around 80,000.

Chartier Flushes Piqué

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

From the hijack seat, Sam Chartier opened with a raise to 4,800. Gerard Piqué made the call from the cutoff seat, and Richard Yong called from the button. On the {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs}, Chartier bet 5,300, and Piqué called. Yong folded.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} to pair the board, and Chartier bet 9,500. Piqué opted to put in a raise and made it 22,000 to go. Chartier didn't go anywhere and made the call.

The river was the {Q-Spades} to complete the board. Chartier checked, and Piqué began stacking some betting chips. He fired 63,800, and Chartier quickly called.

"Queen," announced Piqué as he rolled over the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. Chartier tabled the {A-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush, and he won the pot.

Diaz Doubles Huge Through Jetten

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We arrived at the table to find Gilbert Diaz and Peter Jetten with all of the money in before the flop in the classic aces versus kings situation. Jetten held {K-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and was crushed by Diaz's {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Diaz was all in for 178,500 total heading to the community cards.

The two watched as the dealer produced a board that read {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}, allowing Diaz's aces to hold up. He doubled huge to around 370,000 while Jetten dropped down to just about 60,000.

The player on the button opened to 6,500 and Toby Lewis cut out a three-bet to 18,200 from the small blind.

"I'm all in," said Scott Seiver from the big blind, moving most of his chips forward.

The button thought for a moment before mucking and Lewis snapped him off for about 58,000. Lewis showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and was racing with Seiver's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Seiver's two pair were more than enough to secure him a double to around 130,000. Lewis, on the other hand, has dropped to 77,000.
