Wydrowski Scores Double Knockout

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Marcin Wydrowski Eliminates Two Players
Marcin Wydrowski Eliminates Two Players

PokerStars Team Online member Mickey Petersen opened with an all in bet for his last 24,000. Marcin Wydrowski quickly called the raise from the next seat over and action folded around to Andrew Chen in the blinds who moved all in over the top for 145,000. Wydrowski snapped him off and all three hands were turned up.

Wydrowski: {K-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Petersen: {J-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Chen: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The door card gave Chen a breath of excitement as it was the {A-Clubs} and gave him top pair. Unfortunately for the Canadian, the rest of the flop brought the {K-Clubs} and the {7-Diamonds}, giving Wydrowski three kings and an overwhelming lead. Neither the turn ({3-Clubs}) or the river ({10-Hearts}) helped either Chen or Petersen and they both were eliminated from play. Wydrowski dragged in the pot and now sits on about 440,000.

Set of Fives for Gruissem

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

From the button, Canadian Timothy Adams raised to 13,000. Team PokerStars Pro and fellow Canadian Jonathan Duhamel called from the small blind, then German Philipp Gruissem called from the big blind.

The three players took the flop of {J-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and they each checked. The turn was the {10-Spades}, and Gruissem bet 25,000 after Duhamel checked. Adams called, and Duhamel folded.

After the {3-Spades} hit the river, Gruissem bet 55,000. Adams called.

Gruissem turned over the {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a flopped set of fives. Adams nodded that it was good and mucked his hand.

Turn Raise from Schemion

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Action folded to Nikolaus Teichert in the cutoff seat, and he raised to 11,000. On the button, Ole Schemion called, then everyone else folded. The flop was {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and Teichert bet 16,000. Schemion called.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}, and Teichert fired again. This time he bet 22,000, but Schemion upped the ante with a raise to 60,000. Teichert quickly folded, and Schemion won the pot.

From the cutoff seat, Ole Schemion raised to 11,500. Jason Lavallee called on the button, then Marcin Wydrowski reraised to 32,500 from the small blind. Richard Yong folded from the big blind, Schemion called the three-bet, and Lavallee folded.

The flop was {J-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, and Wydrowski bet 24,500. Schemion called, and the turn was the {Q-Diamonds}. Wydrowski bet 48,500, and Schemion called again. Then, after the {10-Clubs} landed on the river, Wydrowski checked, and Schemion checked.

Wydrowski showed the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for a pair of queens. Schemion also had a pair of queens, but his kicker was better with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Schemion won the hand and scooped in the pot to move to 590,000 in chips.

Benefield Sends Diaz Home

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Gilbert Diaz raised to 15,500, then 2013 World Series of Poker November Niner David Benefield reraised to 38,000 from the cutoff seat. Diaz called, and the flop came down {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Diaz open-shoved for around 110,000-120,000. Benefield quickly called.

Diaz had the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, but was behind the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, and the river was the {10-Spades} to eliminate Diaz.

Lavallee Falls to Yong

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Jason Lavallee moved all in for about 140,00 from the button and Richard Yong called from the big blind. Lavallee showed {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and was crushing Yong's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The flop came {5-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Lavallee's kings retained the lead. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn made Yong open ended to make a straight and that's exactly what happened when the {Q-Clubs} struck the river. Lavallee took to the rail and Yong scooped up a pot that brought his stack to 845,000.
