Troyanovskiy Doubles through Siedel

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened to 18,000 and Erik Seidel raised him to 43,000. The blinds folded and when it got back to Troyanovskiy he moved all in. Seidel made the call and the cards were on their backs, Troyanovskiy at risk with his {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} against the {j-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of Seidel. Troyanovskiy was out of his seat looking resigned but not for long as the cards fell {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Reinkemeier Sent to the Rail Courtesy of Sternheimer

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Tobias Reinkemeier
Tobias Reinkemeier

We picked up the action over at the feature table on a board reading {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Philip Sternheimer had checked from the small blind and Tobias Reinkemeier bet 42,000 from the big. Sternheimer woke up with a check-raise to 86,000, and after considering it for over a minute, Reinkemeier made the call and left himself just 92,000 behind.

When the {5-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Sternheimer moved in and Reinkemeier was not pleased. He indicated that he had spades that he missed, but he still thought for a little over two minutes before calling off. Reinkemeier showed the {k-Spades}{8-Spades} for kings and nines with a missed flush, but it wouldn't have mattered had he hit it as Sternheimer had flopped a full house with the {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Reinkemeier fired two bullets in this year's event to no avail.

Seidel’s River Bet is Good

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Folded to Vladimir Troyanovskiy in the small blind, with just Erik Seidel in the big blind to get through, he made it 21,000. Seidel called. The flop was {9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Troyanovskiy continued for 21,000, again he was called. The turn was {j-Clubs} and this time Troyanovskiy increased the bet to 45,000. Unmoved Seidel made the call. The river card was the {5-Diamonds}. Troyanovskiy thought for a while and now decided to check. Seidel looked back at his hole cards and nonchalantly bet 75,000. Troyanovskiy looked forlorn and folded.

Benefield Loses Two On Paired Flops

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
David Benefield
David Benefield

From the hijack seat, 2013 World Series of Poker November Niner David Benefield raised to 16,000. Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu made the call from the small blind, and the flop came down {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, and both players checked again. Then, the {10-Hearts} finished off the board on the river. Negreanu bet 22,000, and Benefield folded.

On the next hand, Benefield raised to 16,000 from middle position, and this time he was three-bet by Vitaly Lunkin to 38,000 from the cutoff seat. Action folded back to Benefield, and he made the call.

For the second hand in a row, a paired flop came out — {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Benefield checked, Lunkin bet 44,000, and Benefield folded.

Mercier Finishes Off Lucky Chewy

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

Over at the feature table, action folded to Andrew "Lucky Chewy" Lichtenberger in the small blind and he announced that he was all in for 123,000. Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier asked for a count from the big blind, looked down at his cards and then made the call.

Mercier: {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Lichtenberger: {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Mercier was in a dominating position, and according to the PokerNews Odds Calculator, he had a 70.25% chance of winning the pot. On the other hand, Lichtenberger would come from behind 26.95% of the time.

The {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop bumped Mercier up to 79.70% while Lichtenberger dropped to 17.27%. The {9-Hearts} turn pushed Lichtenberger's chance down even further to 15.91%, meaning he needed either a jack or eight on the river to stay alive. Mercier and Lichtenberger were joking and enjoying the moment, but it came to an end when the dealer burned one last time and put out the {6-Spades}.

Lichtenberger wished Mercier luck, removed his mic and then took his leave from the Season 10 EPT Barcelona €50,000 Super High Roller.

Lunkin Steals One on the River

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Vitaly Lunkin in the big blind had called a pre flop raise from Juha Helppi in the small blind. They saw a flop of {5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Helppi slid out a bet for 25,000 and Lunkin called. The turn of {5-Hearts} led both players to check. The final card was the {8-Diamonds} and when Helppi checked for the last time Lunkin saw his opportunity. A bet of 36,000 won him the pot.

Schemion Eliminates Alaei in Monster Pot

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Alaei
Daniel Alaei

In the first hand after being moved to the feature table, Ole Schemion got involved in a raising war with Daniel Alaei that resulted in the latter player being all in preflop for 312,000.

Schemion: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Alaei: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

It was a bit of a cooler for Alaei as Schemion woke up with pocket kings on his first hand after sitting down. The {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop didn't provide Alaei much help, and neither did the {4-Diamonds} turn. Alaei needed an ace on the river to keep his tournament hopes alive, but it was not in the cards as the useless {3-Diamonds} peeled off.

Alaei wished the table luck and promptly exited the feature table.
