Timothy Adams opened the pot from the hijack seat with a raise to 40,000. Ole Schemion reraised to 100,000 from the cutoff seat, then David Benefield four-bet to 220,000 from the big blind. Adams and Schemion folded, giving Benefield the pot.
Mike McDonald opened his button with a raise and Sandor Demjan called from the big blind. The two took in a monotone flop of and Demjan check-called a 40,000-chip bet. The turned and both players checked to see the hit the river. Demjan fired 125,000 and McDonald called.
Demjan showed for aces and eights with a king which was enough to pick up this pot. This leaves McDonald with just 120,000 in chips while Demjan is now up to 828,000.
Juha Helppi made a larger than normal raise from the small blind, making it 65,000 to go. Ole Schemion in the big blind clicked it back to 130,000. Helppi thought for a minute before moving his stack over the line only to be instantly called by Schemion who turned over his in delight. It wasn’t quite over, Helppi needed help with his . Back to Helppi, sunglasses on, his neck concealed by his collar, he raised back at O’Dwyer to 232,000. O’Dwyer didn’t take too long to declare all in and the red triangle was tossed over to him. Helppi had a last look back at his cards before tossing them to the dealer.
Action folded to David Benefield's small blind and he completed. Erik Seidel checked from the big blind and the flop came . Benefield led for 20,000 and Seidel cut out a raise to 75,000. Benefield wasted little time moving out a large stack of chips which was enough to put Seidel all in. Seidel called for his tournament life and the cards were turned over.

Benefield flopped top two pair while Seidel flopped an inside straight flush draw. The on the turn gave Seidel a couple more outs to make a winning hand but it was the on the river that came through for him. Seidel was ultimately able to make a straight and double through Benefield to about 616,000.
