Philipp Gruissem raised to 25,000 from the cutoff and David Benefield called from the button. The blinds folded and the two were heads up heading to the flop.
The dealer fanned 
on the felt and Gruissem checked. Benefield fired 35,000 only to have Gruissem come over the top with a check-raise to 110,000. Benefield called and the 
fell on fourth street. Gruissem checked once more and Benefield checked it back. The 
finished off the board and both players checked once again.

Action folded around to a big-stacked Dani Stern in the small blind and he opted to move all in to put the pressure on Salman Behbehani, who had 150,000 or so behind. Behbehani looked down at his cards and liked what he saw as he immediately called off.

Fabian Quoss opened for 27,000 under the gun only to have Martin Finger three-bet all in for 200,000 from the button. The blinds both folded and Quoss made a quick call.

Quoss was ahead, but Finger was drawing to two live cards. The latter German seemed hopeful, but not after the 
flop paired Quoss' ace. Finger needed runner-runner to stay alive, but the turn took away any chance of that happening.
Finger was drawing dead, and after the was run out on the river for good measure, he exited the tournament area in 18th place.

Dani Stern raised from the Hi-jack to 26,000 and was raised by Jean-Noel Thorel to 75,000. It folded back round to Stern who put out a chunky four bet, but Thorel didn’t need a count as he announced “All in.” Stern called and showed his 
and Thorel had to come from way behind with his . The board ran out 
and Thorel was eliminated giving a big pot to Stern.
Thorel had played a quirky and aggressive game throughout the two days, frequently confusing his younger opponents and earlier today had cracked aces with his fours all in pre, but now he was heading for the exit.
