Germans Collide

Level 12 : 6,000-12,000, 2,000 ante

Fabian Quoss opened for 27,000 under the gun only to have Martin Finger three-bet all in for 200,000 from the button. The blinds both folded and Quoss made a quick call.

Quoss: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Finger: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Quoss was ahead, but Finger was drawing to two live cards. The latter German seemed hopeful, but not after the {6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop paired Quoss' ace. Finger needed runner-runner to stay alive, but the {2-Diamonds} turn took away any chance of that happening.

Finger was drawing dead, and after the {J-Diamonds} was run out on the river for good measure, he exited the tournament area in 18th place.
