Kabrhel Gonna Kabrhel

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Martin Kabrhel is known for his ferocious style and he doesn't like to back down. The Czech player just raised it up to 800 and Bruno Lopes three-bet to 2,100. The action came back to Kabrhel who made it 5,400. Lopes wasn't done yet as he five-bet to 12,000. There was already a lot of money in the pot and Kabrhel moved all in. Lopes called it of for 33,000 total and a big preflop all in was upon us.

Martin Kabrhel: {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Bruno Lopes: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

The board brought mere blanks and Kabrhel took a big hit. Lopes doubled up and is back up to over the starting stack.

"Bad beat!" Kabrhel said to your reporter as he started smiling. "I had aces and he had jacks and there was a jack on the flop," Kabrhel sneakily said as he was trying to hide his agressive move. "Unbelievable!"

Heitmann Climbing, Rettenmaier Dropping

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

The board read {2-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts} when Marvin Rettenmaier was already deep into the tank. Both Rettenmaier and Team Pro Jan Heitmann had checked to Team Pro Max Lykov who fired out 9,600. Heitmann had proceeded to check-raise up to 22,000. Rettenmaier tanked for several minutes before eventually folding and Lykov made the call.

Heitmann tabled {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and took down this big pot. Lykov still has a very big stack while Rettenmaier is in trouble.

Big Up, Big Up, Big Stacks

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Warning: When Max Lykov has a big stack, re-open the betting at your own risk.

The action folded around to Kyle Cheong in the cut-off and he raised to 1,300 before Lykov three-bet to 2,800. Cheong pushed back with a four-bet to 7,000 but ultimately folded when Lykov shoved on him.

Sat just behind Lykov is high roller specialist, Igor Kurganov. He's at it again as well as he's up to 150,000 chips. Asked on how he accrued said chips, he told PokerNews that got lucky to flop top set in a pot, and then he just won a couple of medium-sized ones.

Finger Takes One

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

We would also like to welcome Martin Finger to the tournament. The young German just sat down at the table with, among others, Faraz Jaka and Igor Kurganov.

Gautam Sabharwal just raised to 900 after which Finger three-bet to 2,700 in position. The action was folded back to Sabharwal who made the call. The flop brought {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Sabharwal checked to Finger who bet 2,600. Sabharwal raised it up to 6,200 and Finger made the call.

On the turn the {6-Clubs} hit and this time Sabharwal check-folded to a 8,500-chip bet. Finger is up a little from the 50,000-chip starting stack while Sabharwal still has one of the bigger stacks.

Small Revenge for Compagno

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Paolo Compagno managed to get back the chips he lost to Dan Smith a short while ago.

The action was three-way to a {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop and Ramin Hajiyev bet 1,400 from under the gun. Compagno was on the button and raised to 3,300. Smith called from the big blind after pausing to think but there was no pause no folding from Hajiyez.

The turn came as {2-Spades} and Compagno's 5,600 bet was enough to make Smith check-fold.

Shoves and Bustouts

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
  • Justin Bonomo was leaving the tournament room after busting and said he was going to re-enter. Maybe Max Lykov had something to do with his exit as he's up to 165,000.
  • Frederik Jensen didn't manage to spin up his 4,000 stack. It's yet to be known if he'll re-enter.
  • Jan Heitmann made it to the river of a {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} board versus Jyri Merivrta with around 16,000 in the middle. Heitmann shoved for 23,525 when the action was on his and the Finnish player tank-folded.

Kabrhel Takes Out Jacobson

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Martin Jacobson was just knocked out by the hands of Martin Kabrhel. Kabrhel raised under the gun to 800 and David Peters called from the cutoff. Jacobson three-bet to 2,600 and both players made the call.

The flop brought {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} and all three players checked. On the turn the {8-Hearts} hit and Jacobson bet 3,700, Kabrhel called and Peters folded.

On the river the {5-Diamonds} hit and Jacobson decided to check. Kabrhel tanked for quite a while and then put his opponent all in for right around 8,000 chips. Jacobson called and mucked when the Czech turned over {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Jacobson's {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} was tabled as he was knocked out.
