Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Roman Korenev three-bet shoved over an open from Daniel-Gai Pidun, who called the 317,000-chip bet.

Korenev: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}
Pidun: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}, and Korenev doubled to around 650,000 chips.

Chips for Christiansen

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We arrived at the table to see that Lasse Christiansen was all in and at risk preflop for 233,000 holding {a-Spades}{9-Spades}. He was dominated by Dashgyn Aliev's {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, and Aliev held on the flop ({8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}), and the turn ({7-Diamonds}), but the {9-Hearts} spiked on the river.

A few hands later, Christiansen doubled with ace-king through Ramil Yusupov. Suddenly, Christiansen now has 1.06 million chips.

Guden Grows

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Theodoros Aidonopoulos opened to 40,000 from early position, Yasar Guden three-bet to 95,000 out of the small blind, and Robert Auer moved all in for around one million or so. Aidonopoulos folded, and Guden called all-in for 814,000.

Guden: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Auer: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, and Guden doubled to around 1.65 million. Auer dropped down to 240,000.

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha Stani Alive, Stani Alive

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Kevin Stani managed to get his stack of 491,000 all in before the flop holding {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Unfortunately for Stani, he was up against the {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts} of Ramil Yusupov.

The flop brought down {6-Spades}{J-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Stani still needed to improve to stay alive in this tournament. The {4-Spades} came on the turn and gave Stani spade outs, but it was the {8-Diamonds} on the river that paired his eight and gave him the best hand. Stani scooped up the pot and is now sitting around a cool million.

Do The Right Thang

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We arrived at the table to see Thang Duc Nguyen all in and at risk against Yasar Guden. Guden held {K-Spades}{k-Clubs} and was crushing Nguyen's {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

The flop brought {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and by the {a-Spades} turn, Nguyen was head. He grabbed his belongings and began to head out as the {5-Spades} completed the board. Guden absorbed his stack and is now sitting on 840,000.

Massive Cooler for Anderson Against Nguyen

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Khiem Nguyen
Khiem Nguyen

We caught Calvin Anderson and Khiem Nguyen heads up on a board of {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Nguyen checked, Anderson fired 120,000 or so, and Nguyen check-raised to what looked like 300,000. Anderson called.

The river was a repeat king - the {k-Spades} - and Nguyen moved all in for 622,000. There was a beat, and then Anderson called.

Nguyen showed {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for jacks full of kings, and Anderson frustratedly showed {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a lesser full house.

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On the last hand before the break, Yasar Guden opened to 47,000 from early position, Pascal Vos called on his direct left, and Alexander Helbig three-bet to 131,000 from the big blind. Both Guden and Vos called.

The flop fell {2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, Helbig led out for 163,000, and both Guden and Vos folded.

Helbig tabled two red aces.
