Take Off Your Coat, Stay Awhile
The bubble having burst, action has picked up immediately following players' return from the break. Along with shenanigans.
Herve Santais was just now all in with his short stack against two opponents, Paul Guichard and Romeo Robert. The remaining two players were vying for the pot as the reached the turn with the board showing . Meanwhile, Santais had stood and even put on his coat, suggesting his chances of keeping his seat and surviving the hand were dim.
Guichard bet 15,000 on fourth street and Robert called, then both checked the river. Guichard showed , but his pair was beaten thanks to that river card as Robert tabled . Then with a bit of fanfare Santais revealed his cards one at a time… first the … then… the !
Santais had flopped the nut straight and rivered a flush. Needless to say, neither Guicard nor Robert appeared amused at the sight of Santais's hand. To be fair, we came on it in the middle and so can't say for sure whether or not Santais may have gone all in blind. In any case, he's now removed his coat and retaken his seat.
