Mikolaj Zawadzki seems unfazed by the fact he is sharing a table with some of poker’s big guns, namely Antoine Saout, Dimitar Danchev and Max Heinzelmann, and he has just won a pot that involved all three aforementioned players.
Danchev opened to 375 from under the gun and after one player had folded, Heinzelmann called. A couple of folds later and the action was on Zawadzki and he called on the button. Saout called in the big blind and it was four handed to the flop. The first two players checked but Heinzelmann was not in checking mood and he bet 600. Only Zawadzki called.
The on the turn saw Heinzelmann check, then instantly fold as Zawadzki meticulously placed 1,100 worth of chips over the betting line.
Jon Spinks had opened and called a three-bet from Jiachen Gong to 1,100. Spinks check-called a bet of 1,300 on the flop before both players quickly checked the turn. Spinks then also checked the on the river and Gong bet 2,200. Spinks sighed and made the call but mucked when he saw his opponent's .
EPT Live Lite is starting to stream at the beginning of level 3 over on Pokerstars.tv, and there's no surprise as to what table they’ve chosen to feature: Of course it’s the table starring Jonathan Duhamel, Marius Pospiech, Elisabeth Hille, Marvin Rettenmaier and Kenny Hallaert.
Before they steal them from us we noted a couple of hands played during level 2.
The action folded around to Pospiech on the button and he raised to 375. Hille was in the small blind and three-bet to 1,100. The German called to the flop where he raised Hille’s 1,200 c-bet up to 2,000. Hille was having none of that though and raised up to 7,200 to force a snap-fold from Pospiech.
A while later Pospiech raised from the cut-off and was called by Rettenmaier and Hallaert in the blinds. The flop fell and it was Hallaert who led at the pot for 775. Rettenmaier called and both checked the turn to head to the river. Rettenmaier led for 1,325 and that was good to take the pot as his Belgian opponent folded.
Yury Gulyy has gotten off to a good start so far during the first level-and-a-half today, having more than doubled his starting stack of 30,000.
Just now the Russian was involved in another hand with a lone opponent in which the pair had built a modest flop by the turn. With the board showing , it checked to Gulyy in late position who bet 1,500, and his opponent called. The river then brought the and checks from both.

We joined the action on a flop where we saw Martin Jacobson check from the big blind, Mikael Bilan tap the table and check from under the gun and Krysztof Zapolski try his luck with a bet of 1,025. Rocco Palumbo called from the button and after close to a minute of considering his options, Jacobson called. Bilan tossed his cards back to the dealer and it was three handed to the turn.
Jacobson upped his aggression and lead out for 2,700 on the turn, Zapolski called and Palumbo raised his eyebrows as he got out of the way and relinquished his hand.
The turn saw Jacobson go back into checking mode, but his check seemed to puzzle his now-sole opponent because Zapolski sat for close to three minutes before betting 4,200. Jacobson sat with his gaze fixated on Zapolski but he must not have liked what he saw because he exited the hand and left Zapolski to pick up a substantial pot.
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event champion Dimitar Danchev is here and seated in between Antoine Saout and Max Heinzelmann. Just now Danchev opened for a raise from late position, then watched the always active Heinzelmann reraise from the button to 825 and the Bulgarian called.
The flop came and Danchev quickly checked. Heinzelmann also acted without hesitation, betting 825, and Danchev called. Both then checked the turn.
The river brought the . Danchev studied a moment, then made a small bet of 450 which Heinzelmann called instantly. Both had jacks in their hands, but Danchev's gave him the better kicker versus Heinzelmann's and Danchev scooped the pot.
With about 2,000 in the middle and three players involved, the board read when Marvin Rettenmaier fired a bet of 1,125 from the blinds and a player in middle position called. Then one playing from late position raised to 2,775, and "Mad Marvin" went into the tank. Finally he emerged to reraise to 7,825, squeezing the player in the middle out.
Rettenmaier's lone remaining opponent spent an exasperated couple of minutes contemplating what to do. "Sorry guys," he said, and the others nodded sympathetically.
After another minute he folded, shaking his head as he did. With a mischievous look Rettenmaier offered to show one card, and when his opponent nodded he turned over the , eliciting chuckles all around.
Jamie Roberts gave a cheeky smile after he forced Jon Spinks off a hand on the river of a multi-way pot. The sort of, "I had it" kind of smile.
The pot opened with a hijack raise from Jean Vasseur and calls from three players. All four checked the flop before Vasseur bet 300 on the turn. Roberts was one more seat along and put in a raise to 1,200. The only player to call was Spinks in the big blind.
The river came as the and Spinks checked to face a 2,550 bet. It was too much for him and he folded.
