David Williams

(N.B By 'the Cape' I don't mean the previously cancelled NBC series)

On the river of a {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board, Team PokerStars ProDavid Williams had fired 15,500 against Rumen Nanev, the latter tanked but dug out a call and Williams was forced to show {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Nanev having made the hero call {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Ladouceur at a Loss

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Chip leader from Day 1a, Marc-Andre Ladouceur, has seen his stack shrink this level. He lost a pot where he couldn't budge Timo Pfutzenreuter off a hand.

Ladoucuer raised from mid position and bet 3,700 and 11,200 on the flop and turn before he checked back the river. Pfutzenreuter was in the small blind and was his companion through the {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades} board.

At showdown Ladouceur said he had ace high and then mucked when Pfutzenreuter opened {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}.

Jelassi Doubles Shorty

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

A short-stacked Gert Zumkehr was all in preflop for his last 15,000 or so, and Ramzi Jelassi had him at risk.

Zumkehr: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Jelassi: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Jelassi was unable to improve his hand, and Zumkehr doubled to around 34,000 chips. The Season 9 EPT Prague winner is left with just 38,000 chips.

Moorman Loses Some, Still Floating Around 300K

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Chris Moorman has lost a few chips since the last time we checked in with him, but he just won a few back against Ami Barer.

Barer opened for a raise to 3,200 from the cutoff seat, and Moorman defended from the big blind. The dealer fanned {7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, Moorman led out for 4,200, and Barer called.

The turn was the {k-Clubs}, Moorman led out again - this time for 10,200 - and again Barer called.

A fourth club - the {6-Clubs} - completed the board, and Moorman slowed down, checking to his opponent. Barer quickly knuckled behind, and Moorman showed {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a rivered flush. Barer unhappily mucked his cards, and Moorman picked up the pot.

Team PokerStars Pro Leo Margets survived a scare to double up to 40,000 when her {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} fended off a flush draw from Simon Mattsson's {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} when the board came {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board.

Another One For Blom

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Short stack Moser Nuno moved all in for 3,300 after which Full Tilt's The Professional Viktor Blom called. The action was folded to Ian Simpson who three-bet to 12,100 and Blom looked back down at his cards. He threw in a large pile of blue chips covering Simpson but he decided to fold.

Viktor Blom: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Moser Nuno: {8-Spades}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Blom took another pot down.

Blomlie Keeping Up With (and ahead of) the Jones'

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

PokerStars qualifier Christopher Jones has busted to Mikal Blomlie.

He was down to 24,000 and in the big blind. He three-bet all of them after Blomlie opened from the button. Blomlie only had his opponent covered by around 15,000 chips so took his time to call with {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

He was ahead of Jones' {k-Spades}{j-Spades} and faded a very sweaty {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board to hold.

Loeser Loses

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} flop, Manig Loeser bet 6,100 and Steve Jelinek check-raised to 12,200. The German called to see the {K-Clubs} on the turn and then called an additional 12,800 there too.

The {9-Clubs} came on the river and Jelinek bet 17,500, Loeser sighed, "I call."

Jelinek flipped {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and Loeser mucked.
