First Aido

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Adrian Mateos Diaz raised preflop to 4,200 and Martin Schleich flat-called before Sergio Aido squeezed to 14,000 behind them. Diaz folded folded but Schleich then came over the top with a back-raise to about 27,000. Aido moved all in and the former EPT Barcelona winner quickly called.

Schleich: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Aido: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board came {6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and both players made full houses but Aido's was slightly bigger and he doubled up while Schleich lost half his stack.

Spinks Surprised By Lack of Late Entries

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jon Spinks was just talking to us about being surprised that only two players have bought in for the start of today.

"I definitely would've bought back in," he said, citing the fact that you'd get 25 big blinds plus over half the field had already been eliminated.

Haigh Falls

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Dario Sammartino and Robert Haigh had got to the river of a board reading {5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. Dario Sammartino bet 14,000 and was faced by an all-in from Haigh. Sammartino wanted a count and found it was 53,900 total. He stared his opponent down and made the call. Haigh had {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} but Sammartino had made the correct call with {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} with two pair on a coordinated board.

Minutes before Kevin MacPhee had busted his short stack and has already fired his second bullet so won’t be back.

Chidwick Busts After Back to Back Hands Vs Kravchenko

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Stephen Chidwick had made a big raise but still had chips behind. Alex Kravchenko made the call and turned over his cards {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The floor was called and the ruling was he could still play the hand but the cards would remain face up. The dealer dealt a flop of {10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} to laughs from the table. Chidwick didn’t have much behind and checked. Kravchenko made a bet and Chidwick folded. Kravchenko was given a warning that if it happened again he would face a one round penalty.

The next hand Chiwick was all in for his last remaining chips. It was Kravchenko who make the call with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} again versus the {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} of Chidwick. The board ran out {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Some hope on the turn for Chidwick but a river brick sent him out.
