Ilyukhin Busts Tepper

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Jean Tepper and Victor Ilyukhin took a flop together and the first thre cards on the felt were {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Ilyukhin bet 3,000 and was raised by Tepper to 14,000. A four bet by Ilyukhin was met by a shove from Tepper and they got it all in. Tepper had the best had prefop {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} but Ilyukhin’s {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} had flopped a set. The turn {2-Diamonds} and river {q-Clubs} saw Tepper sent to the rail.

High Roller Day 2 Starts Soon

Marton Czuczor

The penultimate day of the PokerStars.fr EPT Deauville High Rollers will begin at Noon. At least 53 players will begin play today, but as entry is still open until 15 minutes before cards are in the air we could see a few more players with deep pockets and a dream put up the €10,300 entry fee.

A record number of entries yesterday means the highest ever prize pool for the EPT Deauville High Roller. The total prize pool and pay-out structure will be confirmed later in the day once all entries and re-buys have finished and we will bring you those details as soon as they are released.

Day 1 ended with 113 entries into the tournament in the form of 95 unique players and 18 re-entries. These boys sure came to gamble (and they were all men, no women have entered the high roller this year) with over half the field eliminated inside 10 levels.

Leading the field is Marton Czuczor from Hungary who has 274,600. He qualified through a live satellite and hasn’t needed to re-buy. He is followed by Dario Sammartino (251,700) and Adrian Mateos Diaz 236,600.

Alex Kravchenko (84,600) is the only member of Team PokerStars going into Day 2 but there is still a possibility that Jake Cody and Bertrand `ElkY` Grospellier will decide to fire a second bullet and get a new stack of 50,000 which would be worth 25 big blinds. Other faces still in who will be familiar to most of our readers are Steve O’Dwyer, Kevin MacPhee and Toby Lewis.

PokerNews will bring you all the coverage right here as we play down to a final table before the action ends for the day. We expect plenty of fast paced action right from the start, so stay tuned for the latest chips counts, bust outs and all the news from the tables as some of the best players in the world fight it out for a huge pay day.
