The European Poker Tour Season 10 Player of the Year race is on, and as you know players will be able to accumulate points in all events throughout Season 10, regardless of the buy-in level. In addition, all of the Festival Events (Estrellas, UKIPT, Eureka, FPS, IPT) that combine with an EPT tour stop will be eligible for Player of the Year points. The winner of this season’s award will walk away with €50,000 in Main Event buy-ins, good for any PokerStars or Full Tilt sponsored event.
The Global Poker Index (GPI) points formula, which will be used to determine the EPT10 POY, is a bit complicated, but you can read about all the details here. Best French player? Erwann Pecheux in the number 92 spot.

We're now down to the unofficial final table as JP Kelly has been eliminated in 10th place.
The action was folded to Eli Heath on the button, he raised to 45,000, Eugene Katchalov called from the small blind and JP Kelly then three-bet 190,000 from a stack of 1,046,000. Back on Heath he four-bet to 340,000, Katchalov folded but Kelly moved all-in for 1,046,000 and Heath said, "yeah I call."

"What a brave four-bet call with eights" said Nicholas Levi in the commentary booth, "he's got to be happy to see ace-king," added Joe Stapleton. Heath was even happier after the board kept his pair of eights in front.
With Kelly's exit we're down to nine players and there will now be a short break whilst the final nine move to the feature table and the tournament staff do the final redraw of the tournament.
JP Kelly hadn't played on the European Poker Tour in a while, but returned to EPT10 Deauville and now finds himself among the final 10 players. He spoke with Laura Cornelius of PokerStars.tv about how Day 5 has gone, including his multiple run-ins with Eugene Katchalov on the featured table. Click over the to PokerStars blog and watch.
