Same Hands

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #28: Antonio Buonanno opened the button with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for 125,000. With no small blind, action was immediately on Jack Salter in the big blind. Salter called with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, the same hand.

{6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts} on the flop and both players checked. The {J-Spades} on the turn made Salter bet 115,000 into 300,000. Buonanno made the call rather quickly.

The {J-Diamonds} fell on the river which made for a double paired board. Salter checked and so did Buonanno. That made for a split pot and you know what they say...

Hand #29: Magnus Karlsson opened under the gun with {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for 125,000. Moennig quickly folded the cutoff and Buonanno folded his button.

Salter in the small blind had {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and asked how much Karlsson had. At one point Salter even got up from the table to see how much Karlsson was exactly playing. When confirmed Karlsson started the hand with about 30 big blinds, Salter called. Mayu Roca in the big blind woke up with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} in the big blind and made the call as well.

Three-way to the flop: {A-}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Top-two for both Roca and Karlsson.

Salter and Roca checked to Karlsson who checked behind. Still 425,000 in the pot after the {5-Diamonds} came on the turn. Salter checked again and Roca grabbed the opportunity to bet out 220,000. Karlsson made the call, Salter folded.

865,000 in the pot at the moment the {8-Diamonds} fell on the river. Karlsson glared at Roca in full confidence. Roca still bet 570,000 and Karlsson shoved for 1,500,000 total.

Roca needed 930,000 to call but didn't act instantly. He thought for about three minutes but eventually made the call.

Karlsson thought he doubled, but eventually got the news they chopped.
