Boeken Done For

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Noah Boeken walked past us shaking his head.

We asked former table mate Steve O'Dwyer what had happened. O'Dwyer told us that Boeken had just about 18 big blinds left and four betted all in holding ace ten. His opponent had pocket nines, made the call, and held.

O'Dwyer isn't sitting to comfortably either, he has a little under 10,000 left after losing a small pot with ace-jack to Dan Murariu's ace-king just now.

Big Double Up For Ribeiro

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Panagiotis Sotiriadis raised to 800 under the gun and the button three-bet to 2,200 before the action got to Abilio Ribeiro in the big blind. Ribeiro made the call and Sotiriadis four-bet to 5,000.

The three bettor folded and Ribeiro called once more.

The flop brought out {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Ribeiro check-called 6,500 after which the turn brought the {7-Spades}.

The Portuguese player check-called another 6,500 on the turn and the river completed the board with the {4-Hearts}. Now Ribeiro decided to move all in for 14,325 and his opponent tanked for a while before making the call.

Ribeiro tabled {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and that was enough to secure a double up against {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

"Maybe a Split"

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

We happened upon an all-in pot with around 40,000 pulled in and the UK's Simon Brooks at risk holding the {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for him, chip leader Fredrik Keitel had the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

After the {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop failed to help Brooks, he stood from his chair.

"Maybe a split, maybe a split," Keitel cautioned when the dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts}. Indeed, Brooks could chop the pot with a six on the river, and of course he could win it with a jack. He then turned back in time to watch the dealer burn and put out the {6-Hearts} river.

The table was in disbelief as an amused Keitel simply smiled and told Brooks, "But you can go."

Ladouceur Check Calls

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Olof Haglund was seated under the gun plus two and raised it up to 850. Marc-Andre Ladouceur in the big blind was the sole caller.

Ladouceur check called 1,000 on {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} and check called another 2,100 on the {5-Clubs} turn. The river brought the {J-Spades} on the table and both players checked.

Ladouceur tabled {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Haglund quickly folded.

Telker Time

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Michael Telker is still talking up a storm, swigging at his drink and claiming to have been on the vodka and red bull since 11am. We joied as he was giving super short stack Igor Devkin a spin with {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} which was in trouble against the {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} of Devkin. The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Devkin doubled to just under 3,000.

On the next hand Dominik Nitsche was pounding away at Soren Hansen, betting 3,700 on a turn showing {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Hansen made the call and when the river was dealt {k-Spades} Nitsche bet enough to put Hansen in. Hansen quickly called with the nut flush {a-Spades}{8-Spades} and Nitchse threw his {6-}{6-}set at the board where it was quickly scooped up.

Short stack Igor Devkin was all in again the next hand and was called by Hansen with his newly won chips. He folded though when Canadian PokerStars player raised with {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} to get it heads up against the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of Devkin. The cards ran out {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and this time Devkin had to forfeit all his chips.

Telker went back to entertaining the table.
