Selbst Surrenders the River

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Dan Shak completed from the small blind with {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Fabian Quoss checked his option with {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}, and the flop fell {2-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Shak checked, Quoss tossed out a “Moon Dust” T100,000 chip, and Shak check-raised to 500,000. Quoss folded.

Quoss completed from the small blind the next hand, this time holding {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, and Vanessa Selbst checked with {10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Quoss led out for 100,000 on a flop of {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, and Selbst put in a raise, making it 320,000 to go.

Quoss considered the bet for around 90 seconds or so, then called.

The turn was a third heart - the {4-Hearts} - leaving Selbst drawing dead, and Quoss quickly checked. Selbst fired out 380,000, and Quoss tank-called.

The {2-Diamonds} completed the board, giving Selbst a meaningless pair of deuces, and Quoss checked once more. Selbst looked over at Quoss' remaining chips, but finally checked behind, giving up on the hand.
