Fedor Holz Doubles Through Mo

Level 11 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We missed the precise pre flop action but were there to witness Jason Mo and Fedor Holz revealing their hands before any community cards were out. Mo had the better hand with {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} but it was close as Holz showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. The board ran out {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Mo was left with just 6,500.

Mo was eliminated not much later. It was in fact a three way all in where he ended up in, but no triple up would come of it. Mo had {6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and was up against Holz' {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Lebedev's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Lebedev would double with the board running out {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Neymar Jr. Eliminated

Level 10 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Neymar Jr.
Neymar Jr.

Neymar Jr. got up in utter disappointment, he had just lost his last chips in a big hand where it was hard to avoid for the chips to go in. With his shoulders hanging he made his way to the exit, a sad look on his face after a disappointing end to a fun day at the poker table. "What? He's out?" Piqué said with an unbelieving face. The two of them had bantered all day long and Piqué certainly wanted to beat his friend, but now that Neymar Jr. was actually out, you could tell he felt sorry for him.

Neymar Jr. first lost a big pot against Tobias Reinkemeier. On a flop of {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades} Reinkemeier and Neymar Jr. both checked. The {9-Hearts} fell on the turn and Reinkemeier bet 30,000. Neymar Jr. didn't waste much time calling. The river came the {A-Diamonds} and again Reinkemeier bet 30,000. Neymar Jr. frowned and called, only to be shown {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} from Reinkemeier. Neymar Jr. showed his {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and now the rest of the table frowned. You could see Stern and Reinkemeier stare at each other in disbelief that a set versus runner runner top two played out without everything going in.

The next hand Neymar Jr. limped in for 6,000. Jeff Rossiter behind him over limped, Tobias Reinkemeier limped in from the small blind, and Jose Carlos Garcia in the big blind checked his option. The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and both blinds checked to Neymar Jr. The Barcelona star made it 12,000 and just Rossiter called, both blinds folded. The {8-Diamonds} fell on the turn and Neymar bet out 15,000. Rossiter raised to 55,000 and Neymar Jr. pushed all in for about 170,000. Rossiter instantly called.

Neymar Jr: {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Jeff Rossiter: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

With both players having flopped a flush, there was no card in the deck that could save him, and so Neymar Jr. just sat there while the dealer dealt the {3-Hearts} on the river. With a disappointed face Neymar Jr. started to count his stack, and soon found out he had slightly fewer chips than Rossiter.

And just like that the dream was over, no fairy tale story for Neymar Jr. here in his first ever live poker tournament. But what a ride it was!

Level 10 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Gerard Piqué checked the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Clubs} board to Igor Kurganov. Kurganov bet an unknown amount, and then Piqué check-raised all in. After a bit of tanking, Kurganov called all in for 71,000 total with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Piqué had the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs}, and Piqué eliminated Kurganov.

Neymar Can't Bluff Stern

Level 10 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Neymar Jr. raised to 11,000, and Dani Stern called in position on the footballer. The flop came down {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, and Neymar Jr. bet 11,000. Stern called.

The turn was the {3-Spades}, and Neymar Jr. bet 11,000 again. Once again, Stern called.

The river was the {4-Diamonds}, and Neymar Jr. fired the same 11,000. Stern quickly called.

Neymar Jr. turned up the {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs} with a big smile, and Stern tabled the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} to win the pot.

Neymar Doubles with Quads

Level 10 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

On a {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} board it was Portuguese pro Joao Vieira who bet 14,000 and Neymar Jr. tank-called. On the river the {7-Clubs} hit and Vieira bet 25,000 after which Neymar moved all in for 49,500.

Vieira made the call and could only muck when Neymar showed {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} for four of a kind. Neymar is back in the game and he's sitting above the starting stack of 100,000 again.
