Metaal Over Ruzzi

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Matias Ruzzi and Govert Metaal were engaged on fourth street action with the board reading {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. Ruzzi was first to act and he bet 4,500. Metaal thought for a moment before coming over the top with a raise to 14,500 total. This raise sent Ruzzi into the tank for well over a minute. Ultimately, he cut out calling chips and slid them forward.

The {8-Clubs} fell on the river and Ruzzi checked to the raiser. Metaal bet 28,500, prompting an eventual fold from Ruzzi.

Kenney Falls to Muehloecker

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Bryn Kenney and Thomas Muehloecker took a flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades} in a raised pot. Kenney checked his action over to Muehloecker who fired out a bet of 5,000. Kenney called and the {3-Hearts} fell on fourth street. Both players checked this street, allowing the {9-Clubs} to finish off the board on the river.

Kenney checked a third and final time, prompting Muehloecker to bet 15,000. Kenney folded, leaving himself with about 41,500 in chips. The two tangled again on the very next hand and Kenney was eliminated from play in unknown action. Muehloecker scored the elimination and boosted his stack up to 98,000.

Will We See the Field Reach 500 Entries in the €10,300 High Roller?

Welcome back to PokerNews' coverage of the record-breaking €10,300 High Roller from the 2015 European Poker Tour Barcelona festival.

After Day 1 saw 479 total entries generated, a new high was achieved. That number is only going to grow as registration and reentry will remain open until just about the start of Day 2. That should lend to a handful of new competitors joining the field, plus a few reentries from those that busted on Day 1. The additions could see the field size surpass 500, which would be remarkable.

Leading the pack into Day 2 is Ping San Chan with 367,500. Hot on his heals are Nathan Gozlan with 326,600 and Wilfried Hariq with 315,200. Other notables that advanced to Day 2 with healthy stacks were Angel Guilen, Fedor Holz, Adrian Mateos, Vanessa Selbst, Nicholas Rampone, Martin Jacobson, and Dani Stern.

Day 2 is set to commence at 12:30 p.m. local time. Once registration closes, field size and prize pool information will be made available. Until then, stay tuned for continued coverage to begin shortly.
