Pertsinidis Wins Sizable Pot From Stern

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Dani Stern and Maximos Pertsinidis looked down at a board of {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{a-Spades} with a sizable pot already built in the middle. Stern checked fourth street and Pertsinidis followed suit.

The river was the {5-Spades} and Stern reached for chips. He moved 8,700 into the middle. Pertsinidis thought for a moment before coming over the top for 21,000 total. Stern went into the tank for approximately three minutes before dropping out a call. Pertsinidis confidently rolled over {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} for a flopped set of kings. Stern sent his cards sailing into the muck and Pertsinidis took down the pot.

Maximos Pertsinidis - 74,800
Dani Stern - 37,300

Greenwood Triples

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Three players including Sam Greenwood looked down at a flop of {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} in a raised pot. Greenwood was first to act and he checked over to Enrico Fiorentin who bet 4,000. Michael Ferrari called, putting action back on Greenwood. The Canadian announced a check-raise all in for his last 10,500 total. Fiorentin moved all in over the top for 15,975 and Ferrari called.

Greenwood: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Fiorentin: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Ferrari: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The board finished off with the {2-Spades} and the {a-Diamonds}, keeping Greenwood's trips out in front. He scored the triple and now has about 35,400 to his name. Fiorentin lost the main pot but was able to survive with the side pot. He now has about 10,800 in chips. Ferrari, on the other hand, has dropped to 55,600.

Hochman Falls to Dicrisco

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

A short-stacked Corey Hochman was all in and at risk for roughly 6,000 before the flop. Vittorio Dicrisco called and the hands were turned on their backs.

Hochman: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Dicrisco: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The board came down {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, allowing Dicrisco to score the elimination with top pair and top kicker. Hochman hit the rail and Dicrisco increased his stack to 41,000.

Chidwick Takes a Hit

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 1,200 from the hijack and found a single call from Michel Dattani on the button. The two watched on as a flop of {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades} hit the felt. Chidwick continued out for 1,200 and Dattani called to see fourth street.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Chidwick slowed with a check. Dattani took this opportunity to move 3,000 past the betting line. Chidwick instantly released his cards and Dattani was pushed the pot.

Jacobson Folds Turn To Varonen

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Kevin MacPhee raised to 1,200 from early position, and then Martin Jacobson made the call from middle position. In the small blind, Finland's Lauri Varonen reraised to 4,400. McPhee folded, but Jacobson called.

The flop came out {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Spades}, and both Varonen and Jacobson checked to see the {J-Diamonds} land on the turn. Varonen led with a bet of 6,200, and Jacobson folded.
