Andreas Christoforou opened to 1,500 and Goran Mandic three-bet to 3,900 to get called by the Cypriot. On the flop

Thomas Muehloecker just walked over to the table of Ismael Bojang and they discussed dinner plans, though the Austrian was in no hurry to get back to his table. The reason soon became apparent, as his seat was empty and Emil Ekvardt stacked up chips. He was just involved in a hand but nodded upon asked whether or not he busted the EPT10 Barcelona High Roller champion.
Kacper Pyzara busted and has not reentered yet while all the other names below are on their second bullet as of lately. The screens currently show 168 entries with 14 reentries and 143 remain.
In a raising war, Ivan Demidov clicked to 12,000 and then snap-called the shove by Diogo Cardoso for 37,125 chips with 
. Cardoso was flipping for his tournament life with 
and got there as the board ran out 
to give the Portuguese a pair of kings.
Andreas Christoforou must have lost a big pot, because he was just all in for a mere 21,000 chips and two opponents to act behind him still. Fortunately for the Cypriot, they both folded and he was able to collect the pot without showdown.
It all started rather innocent with a raise to 1,350 by Carlos Chadha from under the gun and four players making the call. On the flop 
is where things started to blow up. Corey Hochman somehow got his stack of 35,550 in via open-shove and Anatoly Filatov quickly called from the small blind. Carlos Chadha gave it some thought as well and then called, too. The fell on the turn and Filatov moved all in within a matter of seconds.
Chadha was sent into the think tank, talked through possible hand combinations. Eventually, Chris Hunichen called the time on him and the floorman came over to start the countdown of one minute. With five seconds left, Chadha slid forward his stack of what appeared to be 65,000 as well and it created a massive pot.

Two flush draws against middle set were a more than juicy combination and the river sent the entire pot to Chadha, busting Hochman as a result and sending Filatov back below starting stack.

In a three-bet pot to the flop 
, Ivan Luca checked his option from the small blind and Michael Wang bet 4,300 from the cutoff. Luca called and the 
fell on the turn. Luca checked again and Wang bet 8,800 to receive yet another call. The river completed the board and Luca checked for the third time in a row, allowing Wang to fire a final barrel worth 24,000 with as much behind.
Luca glanced over at the stack of his opponent, raffled through his stack of T-5,000 chips and then sent his cards into the muck.
Canadian Mike McDonald's deep run in the EPT12 Malta Main Event ended earlier this afternoon with a 27th-place finish for €17,840.
That's only a couple grand short of two bullets here in the High Roller and McDonald has already fired the first. He's dipped down to 38,000 after a slow start, but if things continue trending that way and he goes broke, he should have no problem coming up with the remaining scratch.
He won the €25,000 + 750 High Roller here at EPT Malta for €498,575 less than a week ago and actually became the EPT's all-time money leader overnight with $6,228,104 in earnings. This, until Steve O'Dwyer passed him with a win in the second High Roller on the schedule here.
