Hunichen Back in Action

Level 5 : 250/500, 50 ante

"You know, you don't have to report every hand I play," Chris Hunichen said, laughing when he came over during the break.

In the last hand of the previous level, Hunichen raised and then called a three-bet to 3,275 by the player in the small blind. They checked down the {9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop before the player in the small blind bet 5,500 on the {K-Hearts} turn. Hunichen set him in for a total of 18,000 and was snap-called by {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}.

Hunichen only had the {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and his gutshot didn't come anymore. "That was the worst hand I have played here," he added.

Word at the tables is also that Mukul Pahuja five-bet jammed in a three-way pot with {K-}{2-} and got there against someone with {A-}{K-}.

The Tale of the Tape

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

One man who has put his money where his mouth is and another who is about to have been moved to the same table.

Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen and JC Alavardo have been sat across the table from one another and appear to have a lot in common.

Jorgensen once donned the gloves and stepped into a boxing ring to fight fellow Dane and high-stakes legend Gus Hansen, while Alvarado recently accepted an MMA-Style fight with a six-figure wager attached against Olivier Busquet.

Alvarado had been picking Jorgensen's brain about the experience, swapping training stories until he heard Busquet may have been a little taller than he'd originally thought.

Alvarado is now checking the tale of the tape.

For more on the upcoming fight, check out the video below with Alvarado and PokerNews' Sarah Grant.

Small Pot for Frank

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Benjamin Pollak opened to 1,000 from early position and Sylvain Loosli called from the small blind. In the big blind, Christopher Frank reraised to 4,400 and just Pollak called. On the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop, Frank continued for 5,600 and that enforced a fold from the Frenchman. While Pollak and Frank are below starting stack, Loosli already more than doubled.

Three More Seat Open

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Igor Kurganov was in the tournament but Liv Boeree nowhere to be found. A quick check in the bustout list revealed that she had already been eliminated and the names of Kevin MacPhee and Joao Vieira were there too. Theo Jorgensen is the fourth player to purchase the second bullet and now sits at a new table with Ismael Bojang and Justin Bonomo.

Finger Folds to Peters

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jose Carlos Garcia doubled up through Govert Metaal with set over set, the Dutchman then doubled up his short stack and is still in with his first bullet.

On the same table, David Peters raised to 1,050 and Martin Finger called from the button, so did Charlie Carrel in the small blind. The {3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, Carrel checked and Peters continued for 2,200. Only Finger called and did so again for 6,300 after the {3-Clubs} on the turn. Finger called and the {5-Diamonds} came on the river.

Peters made it 7,600 to go with another 15,000 behind and Finger folded eventually.

Sometimes You Just Know

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Davidi Kitai
Davidi Kitai

If anyone knows when it's time to fold {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} preflop it's Davidi Kitai.

The Belgian does have an EPT title, three WSOP bracelets, and is coming off a second-place finish to Jonathan Duhamel in the WSOP Europe's €25,600 High Roller earlier this month.

His credentials also include $6,631,056 in tournament earnings and the top spot on Belgium's all-time money list, although that could change at the WSOP Main Event final table with November Niner Pierre Neuville right behind him and multiple million dollar scores on the line in Vegas next month.

Regardless, Kitai is no doubt qualified to discuss the subject of folding {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} preflop with 100 big blinds deep at 200/400, having just done so when a raising war with the player on his left got too big.

Roy Busts Hunichen ... For Now

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jonathan Roy opened to 1,200 from under the gun and Chris Hunichen three-bet to 3,400 from the small blind. Roy clicked to 7,200 and then flat-called the squeeze to 14,000 by Hunichen. On the flop {Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}, Hunichen continued for 11,000 and Roy shoved for 36,000, having his opponent covered slightly and getting a call.

Hunichen: {K-}{Q-}
Roy: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}

The {3-Diamonds} on the turn was a blank, but the {4-Spades} river gave Roy a flush and double the starting stack.
