Chen Doubles; Still very short

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Mukul Pahuja raised to 1,500 from the button and Andrew Chen grinned over from the big blind before getting his last 2,425 in preflop. Pahuja called off with {K-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Chen's {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} scored a double on the board {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

Ilari Sahamies
Ilari Sahamies

Childhood friends Patrik Antonius and Ilari Sahamies both grew up to be high stakes poker players, and both are playing this tournament today - though at different tables.

We witnessed Bernhard Haider open the cutoff to 1,200 and Patrik Antonius three bet from the small blind to 3,600. The big blind folded, Haider made the call. Antonius continued to fire 3,500 on {A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and 5,500 on the {5-Diamonds} turn. Haider called both times and checked behind after Antonius checked the {10-Hearts} river. Antonius showed {J-Spades}{5-Spades} and lost to {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

Over on Sahamies table we saw Tobias Leuenberger bet 1,800 from middle position on {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Sahamies called and he called the 3,500 bet on the {K-Clubs} turn as well. The river came the {Q-Clubs} and Leuenberger checked. Sahamies checked behind and showed the winning {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} as Leuenberger tabled {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Turtiainen Busts Korotkikh

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

One player limped, Mikko Turtiainen raised to 2,000 and then Mikhail Korotkikh shoved into the raise of Turtiainen according to [Removed:17] in the one seat of the table. Turtiainen called with {10-}{10-} and Korotkikh only had {K-}{Q-}. The Finn flopped a set and the gutshot on the turn for Korotkikh didn't come anymore to send the Russian to the rail.

Bendinelli busts to Muehloecker

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

After a raise and a three-bet by Thomas Muehloecker and Giuliano Bendinelli then four-bet shoved out of the big blind for 16,000. The initial raiser folded, but Muehloecker snap-called for a very good reason.

Bendinelli: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}
Muehloecker: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop gave Bendinelli quite a few outs to stay in the tournament, however both the {4-Clubs} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river bricked and sent the chips to Muehloecker instead.

Ramin Hajiyev
Ramin Hajiyev

Benjamin Pollak, who finished 7th in the €25,750 High Roller earlier today, opened with {A-}{Q-} for 1,100. Ramin Hajiyev, who also competed in the High Roller but didn't cash, three bet to 3,000. Pollak shoved for 10,500 and Hajiyev called with {10-}{10-}. The board failed to improve Pollak and the French high roller hit the rail.
