"See you guys in Prague"

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Martin Finger walked out of the tournament area and joked "see you guys in Prague" to the colleagues of the German blog. "Aces into kings, king as door card," Finger added. The opponent in question is Ferdinand Le Pichon and the Frenchman also shoved into Michael Wang on the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{K-Spades} turn as well. Wang forfeited his bet of 2,000 and got shown {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades} by Le Pichon.

Hochman Drops some Chips

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

On a five-way flop of {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Corey Hochman made it 3,375 to go and was called by one player before Byron Kaverman folded. Then, Thomas Alarcon moved all in for 10,250 and just Hochman called with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for top pair. Alarcon was way ahead with {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and locked up the double on the {K-Spades} turn and {K-Diamonds} river.

No Chips for Negriin

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We picked up the action with Iván "Negriin" Lucá betting out 3,000 on a flop of {Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The first of his three opponents folded, but the second called. The third, JC Alvarado, folded as well so it was heads up to the turn.

The {A-Spades} hit and Luca causally bet 5,000. His opponent called again.

Luca checked with the {Q-Clubs} on the river and his opponent was quick to check behind. Luca showed {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a counterfeited two pair, and the pot went to his opponent who showed {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}.

Pocket Rockets Propel Muehloecker to a Double

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Thomas Muehloecker
Thomas Muehloecker

We happened upon the action with roughly 55,000 already in the pot and a board reading {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Thomas Muehloecker, who was in the small blind, moved all in for his last 17,300 and action was on Sanan Dovlatov.

The man from Azerbaijan thought long and hard before making the call, but he did not like what he saw.

Muehloecker: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Dovlatov: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Seeing their hole cards it's no wonder the pot had gotten so big, but as it was, Muehloecker was shipped the big double.

Roberts Suddenly with Decent Stack

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

On the three-way flop {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, one player bets and Brian Roberts calls before Mikolaj Zawadzki folds. The {4-Spades} turn is checked through and the opponents of Roberts also checked the {5-Diamonds} river with exactly three T-5,000 chips left. Roberts gave it some thought and then pushed forward four blue T-5,000 chips to push his opponent all in, enforcing a fold.

Korotkikh Gets a Lucky Double

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Akin Tuna limped from under the gun and Mikhail Korotkikh limped in as well with a rather short stack. The action reached Francois Goulet on the button and he moved all in for 10,000. Tuna folded and Korotkikh called off for 4,200 in total, turning over his {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Goulet held the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} but the Russian got there on the turn of a {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades} board.

From the High Roller Straight Into the Main Event

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

After finishing runner-up to Mike McDonald in the €25K High Roller, Juha Helppi has opted to jump into the Main Event. He got off to a quick start working his 30,000 starting stack up to nearly 45,000, but he just his a small road bump.

We missed the action unfold, but we do know a short-stacked Bob Ekelund got his last 4,200 or so all in preflop and was at risk against Helppi.

Ekelund: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Helppi: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

It was a flip, and Ekelund managed to pull ahead on the {6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop. Neither the {4-Clubs} turn nor {9-Clubs} river helped Helppi, and he sent a small portion of his stack over to Ekelund.

Ramin Hajiyev
Ramin Hajiyev

Benjamin Pollak, who finished 7th in the €25,750 High Roller earlier today, opened with {A-}{Q-} for 1,100. Ramin Hajiyev, who also competed in the High Roller but didn't cash, three bet to 3,000. Pollak shoved for 10,500 and Hajiyev called with {10-}{10-}. The board failed to improve Pollak and the French high roller hit the rail.
