Andrew Chen Eliminated

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

The first hand after the break Jaroslaw Sikora hadn't taken his seat yet, so the big blind was dead. Action folded to Andrew Chen on the button and he moved all in for around 126,000. Small blind Mikkel Lokkegaard Hansen woke up with {A-Spades}{J-Hearts} and called. Chen was at risk with {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and flopped good on {K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. The {5-Spades} on the turn wasn't so bad either, but the {Q-Spades} on the river got him. Straight for Hansen and Chen was heading to the pay out desk.

Vojtech Ruzicka Eliminated

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Vojtech Ruzicka shoved all in from the cutoff and Kevin MacPhee on the button reshoved. Both blinds quickly released and Ruzicka found out he was in trouble with his {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} soon enough. MacPhee tabled {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and didn't get in trouble on {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}. Ruzicka home in 30th place for €22,300.

John Juanda Eliminated in Cooler Hand

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
John Juanda
John Juanda

We missed the pre flop and flop action but Govert Metaal later told us what had happened.

Vanessa Selbst limped under the gun and Ihar Soika completed from the small blind. John Juanda checked from the big blind and the three took a flop of {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}. Both blinds checked to Selbst and the PokerStars Team Pro made a small bet. Soika folded, Juanda called.

The {7-Hearts} fell on the turn and Juanda checked again. Selbst made a bet of 39,000 and Juanda shoved all in for, what we think was, less than 200,000. Selbst made the call with {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, Juanda tabled {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.

Wouldn't you know it, the river came the {10-Spades} and Juanda and Selbst shook hands. Juanda out in 29th place, Selbst at 1.2 million.

Plesuv Knocked Out

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Pavel Plesuv got his chips in the middle with {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} and must have been happy to see Artem Metalidi with {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} being his opponent. Pleusv saw a safe flop of {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} but the {A-Spades} on the turn wasn't so good. The {9-Diamonds} on the river sealed the deal and Plesuv was heading for the exit.

Paris Doubles Through Bleiker

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Bryan Paris
Bryan Paris

Bryan Paris just raised from the button and Felix Bleiker moved all in from the big blind to put his opponent at risk. Paris called for 223,000 total, and the showdown went as follows.

Paris: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Bleiker: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and Paris got himself a double up, while Bleiker still has a ton of chips to play with.

Palumbo Hits Big, Wins Big

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Rocco Palumbo opened the hijack and Mikhail Rudoy made the call from the big blind. The flop came {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Rudoy check called a continuation bet. Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} on the turn and the {5-Spades} fell on the river. Rudoy bet out 93,000, around 70% of the pot Palumbo told us afterwards. Palumbo raised to 293,000 and Rudoy went into the tank. He thought long and hard and eventually got the clock called on him. With just a few seconds left he made the call, but he mucked upon seeing Palumbo's {4-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the rivered straight.

Palumbo was up to 1.5 million after that hand, but lost some back in the two following hands and plays 1.4 million now.

Selbst Eliminates Metaal

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Govert Metaal
Govert Metaal

Vanessa Selbst opened the hijack for 26,000 and Govert Metaal in the cutoff shoved for 117,000. The button and both blinds released but Selbst made the call.

Govert Metaal: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Vanessa Selbst: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The board would only consist baby cards with {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Selbst her hand held up. Exit for Metaal in 26th place (€25,360).

Selbst Busts Soshnikov

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Vanessa Selbst opened for 27,000 from the hijack and Ivan Soshnikov on the button three-bet to 80,000. When both blinds had gotten out of the way it was Selbst who shoved all in. Soshnikov must have had around 300,000 at the time but it went all rather quick, as the Russian former high roller champion instantly called.

Ivan Soshnikov: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Vanessa Selbst: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Selbst knocked out Soshnikov. Down to 24 players, time for a redraw. We'll get you the new seating as soon as possible.
