Ka Kwan Lau Eliminated

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Ka Kwan Lau
Ka Kwan Lau

Ka Kwan Lau got it in before the flop with {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for his last 150,000 or so. Most of the times getting it in with ace-king before the flop is not too bad a thing, but this time around he was in trouble as Dominik Paus had {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and by the time the turn was out the two of them were already shaking hands. Exit for Ka Kwan Lau.

Ambrose Ng and Aki Virtanen Bust to Niall Farrell

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ambrose Ng open shoved from early position for 133,000 and Aki Virtanen on the button over shoved for around 200,000. Niall Farrell in the small blind announced all in as well and the big blind folded.

Ambrose Ng: {J-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Niall Farrell: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Aki Virtanen: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The flop was good for Ng but the turn hit Farrell: {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Virtanen picked up a flush draw on the turn but it didn't materialize. After bluffing of lots of chips to Marc MacDonell earlier on, now Niall Farrell is back in it.

"Can You Feel the 8 Coming?"

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Ghattas Kortas, who was all in on the bubble yesterday and trailing with ace-jack against kings (but won, doubled, and survived the day as a result), has now been eliminated. He got it in with {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades} up against Ivan Deyra's {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

"Can you feel the 8 coming?" Kortas asked Deyra. The Frenchman didn't reply but probably couldn't feel it. The 8 did come, but a queen had preceded it: {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

Farrell Bluffs Off Lots

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

We missed the precise action but Foeke Deinum told us some of the details afterwards.

According to Deinum it was Niall Farrell who opened before the flop and Marc MacDonnell who called. The flop came {4-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Farrell made a continuation bet. MacDonnell called and the {4-Hearts} hit the turn. Farrell over bet for 1.5 times the pot and MacDonnell called again. The river came the {K-Clubs} and Farrell bet 2/3th of the pot. MacDonnell made the call and Farrell showed nothing but a red {A-}{Q-} for a complete bluff. MacDonnell tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and scooped the monster pot.

David Boyaciyan Eliminated

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Kitty Kuo opened for 25,000 and serial EPT Prague finalist David Boyaciyan moved in for 160,000. Kuo called with the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and was way behind against Boyaciyan's {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The flop gave Boyaciyan top set but Kuo a flush draw: {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn gave Kuo a flush and Boyaciyan needed the board to pair to stay alive. The {9-Spades} on the river wasn't the card he was looking for and Boyaciyan made his exit.

Cortellazzi Cheers as His Aces Hold Up

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Andrea Cortellazzi
Andrea Cortellazzi

Andrea Cortellazzi is the most cheery guy in the room as he just doubled up holding pocket aces against Vlado Banicevic's kings. After unknown action preflop Cortellazzi ended up all in for 501,000 and the showdown went as follows.

Cortellazzi: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Banicevic: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Cortellazzi jumped out his seat, cheering loudly as he took a huge chunk out of Banicevic's stack.
