Bozzano Slips Under 1MM

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Enio Bozzano hasn't had the best of times since returning from break and is down to 940,000 chips.

One hand saw him three-bet an 85,000 opening raise from Samuel Vousden to 220,000 and then fold to a 220,000 four-bet from his Finnish opponent. A few hands later, Bozzano opened from the button and faced a three-bet from Vlado Banicevic in the big blind. A 90-second tank was followed by a fold from Bozzano who showed {A-}{10-} and was shown the {8-}{8-} in return.

O'Rourke Shoves on Banicevic

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Vlado Banicevic was on the button and he made it 85,000 to play. Gavin O'Rourke, in the small blind, three-bet all-in for 910,000 in total. The big blind folded, as did Banicevic albeit after 30 or 40 seconds of pondering what move to make.

Samuel Vousden asked the dealer to confirm what the three-bet all-in amount was and looked to make a mental note.

Bruno Lopes Eliminated in 18th Place (€35,800)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Bruno Lopes - 18th Place
Bruno Lopes - 18th Place

In the last hand before the break, Ilkin Amirov raised to 80,000 from the button and was met by a three-bet to 210,000 by Bruno Lopes in the small blind. Gleb Tremzin then four-bet to 420,000 from the big blind, Amirov folded, and Lopes moved all in for what looked to be 1,6 million total. Tremzin snap-called.

Tremzin: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Lopes: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

It was a huge flip, and Lopes was looking to hold to score the big double. He did so on the {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop, but then the dealer burned and turned the {K-Spades} to give Tremzin a pair of kings. Lopes had plenty of outs headed to the river, but the {5-Hearts} was not one of them.

Short Stack Doubles First Hand Back from Break

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

In the first hand back from the break, Onur Unsal shoved all in under the gun for 1.03 million and Ivan Deyra, who was next to act, called off for 585,000. The rest of the players folded and it was off to the races.

Deyra: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Unsal: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Deyra was looking to hold, and that's just what he did after the board ran out a safe {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. With that, the two essentially swapped chip positions.

Benjamin Lamprecht Eliminated 17th place (€40,860)

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Benjamin Lamprecht
Benjamin Lamprecht

Benjamin Lamprecht has bust in two successive hands against Ilkin Amirov.

Lamprecht lost a big portion of his stack when he called a 700,000 bet on the river of a three flushed, three-to-the-straight board and ran into Amirov's {Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the nut flush, and then saw Amirov open to 100,000, and decided to move all-in for 1,200,000.

"All-in and a call," said Amirov as the TV crews ran round to get a better view of the action. Once there, they saw Amirov holding {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Lamprecht {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. An ace on the flop of the {10-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} board was enough to send Lamprecht to the rail in 17th place, and pushed Amirov to the top of the chip counts.

Gomez Must Survive Scary Flop

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

A preflop raising war saw Javier Gomez get his stack of 1.015 million all in preflop from the big blind against Gleb Tremzin, who was in the small blind.

Gomez: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Tremzin: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Gomez was a heavy favorite, but the {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop made things interesting by giving Tremzin a flush draw. Fortunately for Gomez, neither the {5-Spades} turn nor {Q-Clubs} river proved harmful and he shipped the double.
