Montgomery Also Bows Out

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

A second seat open was waiting to be picked up when coming back from the break and that media card belonged to Scott Montgomery. According to Thomas Finneran, it was Tomasz Raniszewski who picked up the chips when flopping two pair with {4-}{5-} and rivering a full house to bust Montgomery's {J-}{10-} for flopped top pair.

Palma in, Jattin Not Out

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Two Americans are making the headlines for this post. Whereas Nicholas Palma just entered the competition, fellow American Farid Jattin was the third player to be eliminated. Jattin cashed in several EPT events this season with the biggest score coming from a win in a Six-Max Turbo in Barcelona for € 70,870.

Edit: Jattin actually just got seated and has not been eliminated, his ticket was just laying very close to the "seat open" sign.

Kempe Cut in Half

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

A few further updated counts include Rainer Kempe and the news of the German aren't necessarily any good. Kempe, who made back-to-back Main Event final tables this season, is down to only 15,000 chips while Jason Mercier enjoys a decent start into Day 1a.

Agerskov vs Monstad

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Joining the action on the flop {Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Rasmus Agerskov checked in late position and Vebjorn Monstad bet 1,500 from the button. The Dane called and the {9-Hearts} on the turn saw Monstad now fire a bet of 5,000. Again, Agerskov called after some consideration and the duo headed to the {8-Diamonds} river.

After another check by his opponent, Monstad made it 11,000 to go and Agerskov spent a few minutes in the think tank. He then took a sip of his coffee, stared at his opponent and the board before releasing his cards.

Sammartino Busts Early

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

Dario Sammartino played for around one hour only in the Main Event and just headed out of the door. He previously lost a quite big 30,000-pot with two pair against the higher two pair of Riku Koivurinne and then four-bet against Artem Litvinov.

The Russian stuck around to see a flop of {K-}{K-}{5-} and Litvinov pushed with jacks to see Sammartino call it off after a few minutes of table chat with the Russian, holding pocket deuces only.
