Mikita Badziakouski Eliminated

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

From the cutoff, Mike McDonald made it 27,000 to go. From the small blind, Mikita Badziakouski shoved all in for exactly 200,000. His big blind neighbor Mustapha Kanit asked for a count, and then called. McDonald was quick to fold.

Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Mustapha Kanit: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades} and the start of day chipleader made his exit.

Vogelsang and Adams Double

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Bryn Kenney raised and then four-bet shoved into the three-bet of Christoph Vogelsang. The German, who had squeezed to 85,000 out of the small blind, snap-called for a total of 377,000 and held the superior pocket pair.

Vogelsang: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Kenney: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

There was no help on the board {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Kenney lost more than one third of his stack.

Timothy Adams was a bit more tricky and just flat-called a raise to 26,000 by Igor Kurganov. On the {J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop, Adams check-raised from 18,000 to 45,000 and then shoved the {5-Hearts} turn for 125,000. Kurganov called and found himself in bad shape with top pair.

Adams: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Kurganov: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}

A blank {2-Diamonds} turn changed nothing whatsoever and Adams doubled up his short stack.

Sammartino Sends Stack to Timex

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

The cards of Dario Sammartino were already in the muck and the Italian shipped his stack to table neighbor Mike "Timex" McDonald. The Canadian had raised from under the gun and Sammartino defended his big blind to then check-raise all in for less than 160,000 with king-queen on a flop of {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

McDonald snap-called with {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top two pair and even got a full house thanks to the {8-Hearts} turn and {9-Diamonds} river, sending his opponent to the rail and the own stack above one million.

There are now 25 players remaining and after the next elimination, a redraw for the last three tables takes place.

Kanit Doubles Juanda

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Under the gun, Mustapha Kanit made it 28,000 to go. His neighbor John Juanda, who had been praising Kanit, moved in for 234,000. Action folded back around to Kanit and he confidently called.

Juanda was even more sure of his move. Rightfully so, as the EPT Barcelona champion turned over {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. Kanit tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Kanit came up short, despite asking for the {A-Diamonds} multiple times. The board ran out {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Juanda doubled.

Daniel Dvoress Dominated, Done

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress moved in for his last 128,000 and two positions over it was Christoph Vogelsang on the button shoving over the top all in. Jason Mercier in the small blind faked a small heart attack with all that action, but folded. Ole Schemion folded his big blind.

Daniel Dvoress: {J-Spades}{10-Spades}
Christoph Vogelsang: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Dvoress made his exit in 27th place.

Can Do, Can Do, Kanit Says The Horse Can Do

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

Mustapha Kanit just extended his lead on the field, taking a big chunk from overnight leader Mikita Badziakouski.

After both players checked the turn with some 120,000 in the middle, Badziakouski led the river for 90,000 on a {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board.

Kanit fired back with a raise to 340,000, perplexing Badziakouski, who tanked it out for four full minutes.

"I play good, huh," said Kanit, smiling.

"You're killing me," Badziakouski answered.

"I know, story of my life bro," added Kanit.

Eventually, Badziakouski made the crying call, mucking when Kanit turned over the {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} full house.

"Watching you play poker is like watching Picasso paint," John Juanda added, as Kanit raked in the pot.

Smith Remains Active

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Towards the end of the previous level, Dan Smith called a bet worth 60,000 by Stanley Choi on the button after a {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} turn and then checked behind from under the gun once the {K-Spades} river completed the board. Smith's king-jack for a busted draw was no good, as Choi had {A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a full house.

The American did get the chips back though by pushing out Sergey Lebedev with a bet of 100,000 out of the small blind on the {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} river. Lebedev tanked for some time and Igor Kurganov called the clock on him to see his fellow countryman let go soon after.

Carrel Gets Short

Level 12 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Charlie Carrel frised from early position and found a caller in Erik Seidel to see a flop of {4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Seidel check-called a bet worth 20,000 and they checked the {4-Hearts} turn. Seidel's bet worth 31,000 on the {6-Diamonds} river found no call.

Carrel remained active and got into a big pot with Ivan Luca not much later though. The Brit bet the {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} river for 135,000 into a pot of what looked like 250,000 and then folded to the shove of Luca with the Argentinian boosting his stack above one million.
