Vogelsang Folds to Mercier's Shove

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The action started with a raise to 13,000 by Salman Behbehani from the button and Christoph Vogelsang then made it 45,000 to go from one seat over. PokerStars Team Pro Jason Mercier four-bet to 92,000 and Behbehani quickly got out of the way while Vogelsang called. On the {J-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop, Vogelsang check-called a bet worth 67,000 and checked again the {7-Spades} turn.

Mercier put his German opponent all in for his remaining 215,000 and Vogelsang gave it some consideration before folding.

Raouf Busts to Choi

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

At the same time as Jason Mercier enforced a fold from Christoph Vogelsang, another big pot was played a few meters over on table three. There were 320,000 chips in the middle with the board reading {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Ibrahim Raouf had shoved for what looked like 159,000.

Stanley Choi had that beat by just two big blinds and took his time before making the decision to call or fold. He eventually did call and Raouf mucked, claiming he had pocket aces. Choi's {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} won the pot and he effectually doubled up his stack. Dan Smith said "I thought you had it there" and Choi added he was afraid of pocket nines, Smith had put Raouf on the very same hand.

O'Dwyer Eliminated

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

As we got to the table, Steve O'Dwyer had just check raised from the blinds on {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Schemion moved all in and O'Dwyer called it of holding {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. Schemion tabled {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and got lucky right away with the {5-Hearts} on the turn. The {J-Diamonds} on the river made O'Dwyer trips, but it wasn't enough to save him.

Nitsche Runs Out of Chips

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche open-shoved the small blind for what looked like 130,000 chips and Sergey Lebedev quickly called to let the German sigh and say "enjoy", immediately knowing he was well behind even before the cards were tabled.

Nitsche: {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Lebedev: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}

After a board of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, the kicker issue resulted in the exit of the German and Lebedev increased his stack after just having entered before the start of Day 2.

Holz Wins Small Pot

Level 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Fedor Holz opened to 15,000 from the button and Salman Behbehani three-bet to 40,000 from one seat over, receiving a call from "CrownUpGuy". On the {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop, Behbehani's small continuation bet worth 19,000 didn't do the trick, as Holz raised and claimed the pot without any further resistance.

Behhebani hit a pair of fives shortly after with {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} to claim back the chips he had lost, though.

Level 9 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened with a bet of 14,000 from early position, and both Ivan Luca and Stephen Chidwick called in the blinds.

Luca and Chidwick checked the {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, and Negreanu continued for 25,000. Only Chidwick called, and he quickly checked the {8-Diamonds} turn.

Negreanu fired out a bet of 48,000 and Chidwick tanked a while before pushing in.

"Alright, if you got it, you got it," Negreanu said, calling off for his tournament life with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

Chidwick indeed had it, having turned top set with the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}. The river bricked for Negreanu and as he hit the rail, Chidwick climbed up the counts.
