Badziakouski Busts to Korotkikh

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

After a button raise by Alexandros Kolonias, Mikita Badziakouski shoved the small blind and Mikhail Korotkikh reshoved the big blind to isolate successfully.

Badziakouski: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Korotkikh: {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Korotkikh jumped out of his chair, celebrated loudly as usual and as if he had just won the tournament. Down to 35!

O'Dwyer Shakes Head; Then Doubles

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

[Removed:2] raised to 19,000 and picked up calls by Vladimir Troyanovskiy and Saar Wilf in the blinds before both check-called a flop of {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Daniel Negreanu raised and then showed {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} when picking up the blinds and antes before Steve O'Dwyer was left with his head shaking after paying off the {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} on the river {K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{A-Clubs} versus Zvi Stern.

O'Dwyer however doubled for 87,000 with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} against the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades} of Quan Zhou soon after thanks to a board of {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Schillhabel Gets Through Silver

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Max Silver made it 24,000 and Stefan Schillhabel shoved in behind him for less than 100,000.

It folded back to Silver and he called with the {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}. Schillhabel had the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and a {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}{9-Hearts} board gave him the double up without much of a sweat.

Yan Makes Move; Busts

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

[Removed:17] raised from under the gun for slightly more than the minimum and Imad Derwiche flat-called from one seat over to go heads-up to the flop {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Yan continued for 20,000 and Derwiche raised to 80,000, picking up a call.

On the {6-Diamonds} turn both players checked and Yan shoved the {7-Hearts} river for 216,000. Derwiche counted his stack and was covered, he did call though and put himself at risk with the {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} for 199,000. Yan flashed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for a busted double draw and was left with a mere two big blinds. Derwiche jumped to almost twice the average and the Frenchman came second to Charlie Carrel in this very event last season.

One hand later, Daniel Negreanu raised the button with {A-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Yan called all in from the big blind with {2-Spades}{3-Spades}. The board ran out {J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and that was it for Yan.

Early Hand For Hand

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

As some tables had been playing slower, the tournament direction has decided to stop the clock after the end of the current hand and start hand for hand mode early to make sure all players have the same environment so close to the money.
