In two hours from now at 12.30 p.m. local time, Day 2 of the 2016 PokerStars.com EPT13 Malta €25,750 Super High Roller will get underway at the Casino Portomaso. The first day of the event saw a total of 44 unique players and 16 re-entries to create a field of 60 entries, of which 27 bagged up chips over night.

Leading the field is UK's Patrick Leonard, who now resides in Hungary, with 260,000, and he is closely followed by EPT10 Vienna Main Event champion Oleksii Khoroshenin with 256,000. Both already met at the final table of the EPT13 Barcelona €10,300 High Roller back in August this year, where Leonard finished 7th for €169,700 and Khoroshenin claimed a payday of €396,700 after coming 4th respectively.

In third place is Dario Sammartino with 202,900 and the Italian already enjoyed a decent start into this festival after finishing 3rd in Event #1, the €10,300 High Roller for €81,480. Other big stacks and notables include Mikita Badziakouski (195,500), Scott Seiver (194,700), David "MissOracle" Yan (146,700), Ole Schemion (132,000), Max Silver (131,500) and Davidi Kitai (100,300)to name just a few.

Action resumes with level 11 and blinds of 1,000-2,000 with a running ante of 300. All players that busted throughout Day 1 and only fired one bullet can still re-enter until 15 minutes prior to the start of Day 2, one such candidate is Paul Newey who busted in the last hand of the night. Furthermore, Alex DiFelice won his seat in a Hyperturbo Satellite and will be joining with a fresh stack of 50,000.

Another 10 levels of 60 minutes each are scheduled with a break every two levels and a dinner break after the end of level 16. However, play may continue until the final table of the last six is reached. Check back regularly to see who makes the cut for tomorrow, as the PokerNews live reporting team will be on hand to provide updates until a winner is crowned.
