Leckey and Kassouf Win Some

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, the flop showed {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Patrick Serda bet 130,000 in the small blind. Paul Leckey in the big blind called and the {10-Diamonds} on the turn saw a check by Serda and a bet by Leckey for 250,000, Serda folded.

One hand later, Viliyan Petleshkov opened to 250,000 from early position and William Kassouf called from one seat over. The flop came {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Kassouf said "this is a good flop for my hand, top pair," then Petleshkov bet 230,000. Kassouf called and the {K-Clubs} came on the turn. Petleshkov checked and Kassouf bet 800,000.

"I have two pair," Kassouf announced and both players engaged in some table talk. Petleshkov asked if Kassouf would show when he folds and received "I show one if you let me pick one," before the Bulgarian eventually let go. Kassouf let him pick one and the {K-Hearts} was exposed.

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Matas Cimbolas

In the first hand back from the break, Tue Ullerup Hansen open-shoved from the small blind into short stack Grzegorz Wyraz in the big blind. Right after in the next hand, Matas Cimbolas moved all in and it folded around to Viliyan Petleshkov in the big blind. He asked for a count and the shove was for 630,000, Petleshkov called.

Matas Cimbolas: {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Viliyan Petleshkov: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

"Now is your time to ask if there are any tens around," William Kassouf said. However, the board ran out {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Cimbolas was eliminated in 7th place for €128,700.

Almost 7 Million For Kassouf

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

William Kassouf is easily both the leader in chips and in the number of hands he gets time called on him. He opened from the button and got a call from Patrick Serda in the big blind.

Serda check-called a bet from Kassouf for 350,000 on the {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop. Serda checked again and Kassouf after some delay bet 720,000.

Serda called and the {3-Hearts} completed the board on the river. Serda checked once again and Kassouf chattered away until time was called on him again by Cimbolas who was out of the hand. Kassouf then said, "If you have it, you have it, but I think I am ahead," and fired out for 1,100,000. Serda tossed his cards into the muck and Kassouf's stack grew to 6,800,000.

Jens Lakemeier Eliminated in 8th Place (€93,170)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Jens Lakemeier
Jens Lakemeier

Patrick Serda min-raised from under the gun and Jens Lakemeier defended his big blind. On the {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop both players invested 125,000 and the {10-Clubs} turn went check, check. Lakemeier checked the {9-Spades} river with 560,000 behind and Serda simply bet 1,100,000 to give his opponent all but two choices: All in or fold with less than six big blinds.

Lakemeier thought about it for quite some time and the clock was called on him. One minute ran down and in the very last second, Lakemeier called. Serda turned over {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top two and Lakemeier only had {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a busted straight and flush draw as well as a pair of nines. Lakemeier takes home €93,170 for his efforts.

Kassouf Over 5 Million

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

William Kassouf opened to 200,000 from the button and Jens Lakemeier called from the big blind. Kassouf checked the {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop before Lakemeier bet to 175,000.

Kassouf was talking away, and Matas Cimbolas not in the hand called for time. Kassouf commented he wanted to know where he was and eventually raised it to 435,000 and Lakemeier quickly called.

After the {2-Hearts} appeared on the turn, Kassouf said, "The turn is a dead card, it is a huge cooler if you have pocket twos." Kassouf then said, "I might as well bet since I will call your bet anyway," before firing out for 1,000,000. Lakemeier quickly folded, while Kassouf's stack grew to over 5 million.

Leckey Shoves the River

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Tue Ullerup Hansen min-raised from under the gun and Paul Leckey called in the big blind. The {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop went check, check, and Leckey then bet the {9-Diamonds} turn for 250,000. Hansen called and Leckey shoved the {8-Hearts} river for 555,000, Hansen folded.

The next hand, William Kassouf opened to 250,000 and Grzegorz Wyraz folded in the big blind. Kassouf offered to show one if Wyraz did so and picked the {3-Diamonds}, his {K-Diamonds} was then flipped over after.

Hansen raised the button to 200,000 and Viliyan Petleshkov called in the big blind. The flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} was checked through before Petleshkov bet the {4-Spades} turn for 225,000 to scoop the pot.

Ihar Soika Eliminated in 9th Place (€75,400)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Ihar Soika
Ihar Soika

William Kassouf opened from the hijack to 200,000 and began table chatter with multiple people left to act. Matas Cimbolas reminded Kassouf there were multiple people in the pot, and he temporarily stopped talking.

Ihar Soika thought for more than a minute before he jammed from the cutoff for 940,000 and Kassouf looked to Cimbolas and said, "See what you did?" The action folded back around to Kassouf who continued his chatter.

He tried speculating on Soika's hand, and questioned whether it was something like pocket sevens, pocket eights or ace-jack. Soika, who was wearing headphones and sunglasses, ignored all the chatter and just looked straight in the dealer's direction. Kassouf eventually called and was temporarily behind in the hand.

Ihar Soika: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
William Kassouf: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Soika's odds of winning improved even further after the flop came {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} as he added a nut-flush draw. However, a red queen came on the turn. The {2-Hearts} completed the board on the river and Soika was eliminated in ninth place for €75,400.

Additionally, the final table changed from "unofficial" to "official" with the field trimmed down to eight players.
