Bonomo Loses Some to Mateos

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

From the hijack, Justin Bonomo raised to 2,700. Big blind Adrian Mateos called and the Spanish EPT Grand Final champ check-called 4,000 on {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} as well. Both of them checked the {A-Clubs} on the turn before the {5-Spades} completed the board. Mateos bet out 16,000 and Bonomo called. Mateos showed {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Bonomo mucked.

Small Pots

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With the tournament still in the early stages, pots aren't blowing up just yet.

Ben Heath raised his button to 2,800 and big blind Timothy Adams called. Both checked the flop of {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and the {K-Hearts} turn before Adams bet out 7,400 on the {7-Diamonds}-river. Heath called, but mucked upon being shown {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} by Adams.

Redraw

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With Viacheslav Buldygin signing up, the tournament now has 16 players. Because they don't want a player to be certain which seat they get upon signing up, a redraw is being done so Buldygin gets a random seat assigned. A short break to facilitate the redraw is in progress now, the tournament continues right after the players have taken their new seat.

Mateos Loses Some to Greenwood

Level 2 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Action folded to Adrian Mateos on the button and he raised to 2,500. Both small blind Sam Greenwood as big blind Ali Reza Fatehi called before all of them checked the {10-Spades}{J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}-flop.

The {3-Clubs} hit the turn and Greenwood bet out an unknown amount. Fatehi folded, Mateos called.

Both checked the {6-Clubs} on the river and Greenwood showed a winner with {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, Mateos mucked.

A Challenger Appears

Rainer Kempe and Dominik Nitsche were seen hanging around the tournament room earlier but haven't entered. Sam Greenwood did just buy in, bringing the total of entries up to 13.

"Bad River?" - "Terrible!"

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a board of {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} we saw Justin Bonomo bet 14,000 from first position. Paul Newey on the button, who's going for his fifth final table in a (Super) High Roller event in a row, raised to 38,000. Bonomo contemplated what to do for just a bit before he called.

The {7-Spades} completed the board and Bonomo pushed all in. Instantly, Newey tossed his cards into the muck.

"Bad river?" Charlie Carrel asked.

"Terrible!" said Newey with a big smile and a huge laugh.
