Tedeschi Chips Up

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Paul-Francois Tedeschi three-bet to 62,000 after Janos Kurtosi opened to 20,000. The two saw a {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop and Kurtosi check-called 51,000. Both checked the {6-Clubs} turn and Tedeschi jammed when checked to on the {2-Diamonds} river for 322,000. Kurtosi thought it over for a couple of minutes before he folded.

Chehade Turns One Dead

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Georges Chehade got his last 160,000 in from the small blind after a {3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop. He held {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for top pair and a combo draw but needed to improve against an opponent's {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The turn was a {k-Diamonds} to lock in Chehade's double.

Chouity Gets Lucky, Survives

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Alexander Paygusov opened for 23,000 in middle position and called the shove of Nicolas Chouity, who had the small blind.

Paygusov: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Chouity: {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The former chip leader needed help and found some on the {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop, vastly increasing his outs. The {8-Diamonds} turn cinched it for him with the nut flush. Paygusov sent Chouity about 200,000, nearly all of his own stack.

Conan Gets Chopped Up; Munoz Chops

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Hand 1

Sam Cohen doubled through Arthur Conan to leave the latter at around 20 big blinds. Soon after a three-way flop showed {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Conan check-raised all in for around 170,000 in the big blind with {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for top pair. Aleksandr Nemtcov on the button had the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Conan was drawing dead on the {5-Clubs} turn, making the {7-Hearts} river a formality.

Hand 2

Marta Munoz defended her big blind with the {K-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and got it in against Nemtcov's {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} on the {K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The {6-Spades} turn and {6-Clubs} river ensured a runner runner split pot for the second woman on the table.

Kiriopoulos Doubles on the Feature Table

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Joseph Sabe and Demosthenes Kiriopoulos got into a four-bet pot over on the feature table and the latter was all in and at risk for 257,000 with the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Sabe had the slightly inferior hand with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and the board of {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades} left the Frenchman short.

Nothing Left But "Big Balls"

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Matas Cimbolas
Matas Cimbolas

Matas Cimbolas was all in for 268,000 from the big blind when we arrived at his table. He was heads up against Jasper Meijer Van Putten on a board of {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}, and Van Putten was thinking things over.

"I have nothing left," Cimbolas declared. "Only big balls."

Moments later, Cimbolas declared that his opponent was folding and that's exactly what ended up happening.

Charette's Not Wrong

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Simon Charette opened on the button and saw Alexander Paygusov put his last 160,000 in from the big blind.

"If I'm wrong, this is going to look really stupid," Charette said before calling with {a-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Paygusov was behind with {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}, and the {2-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop didn't give him much hope since Charette added a flush draw. On the {9-Spades} turn, Paygusov's slim hopes ended, and another nine completed the board.

Hajiyev Eliminated by Isberg

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Ramin Hajiyev
Ramin Hajiyev

Kyosti Isberg raised from under the gun and received a call by Andrew Hulme in the small blind and Ramin Hajiyev in the big blind. The trio checked the {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and Hajiyev then bet the {5-Spades} turn. Only Isberg called and then snap-called the shove of Hajiyev for 80,000 on the {K-} river.

Hajiyev showed {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a busted flush draw that improved to top pair, only to see Isberg turn over pocket tens for a slow-played set.

Yan and Rudziankov Eliminated

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Towards the end of the day, a few of the shorter stacks were eliminated still and among them were [Removed:17] and Artur Rudziankov.

Yan defended his big blind against the under-the-gun raise of Viteszlav Pesta and shoved the {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop for a few big blinds remaining. Pesta called with {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Yan only had {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, the {Q-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river bricked.

Eduards Kudrjavcevs raised from under the gun and Rudziankov shoved for only 60,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Kudrjavcevs Looked him up with {A-Spades}{10-Hearts} and the board came {10-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.
