Day 1 Started

Welcome to Day 1 of the EPT Prague €10,300 Pot-Limit Omaha

EPT Prague
EPT Prague

At 2 pm local time, the second €10,300 buy-in event of the 2018 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague gets underway as the attention switches to Pot-Limit Omaha at the Hilton Prague.

Earlier this week, Akin Tuna took down the opening €10,300 No-Limit Hold'em event of the festival after he came through a 38 player field which included a heads-up battle with Ognyan Dimov to scoop the €125,330 first-place prize.

12 months ago, Sweden's Niklas Astedt took home €81,600 for victory in this PLO event as part of the PokerStars Championship Prague, following a heads-up battle with Finland's Sampo Ryynanen.

When the action gets underway in this two-day event, each player will sit down with a 50,000 chip stack, with 14 40-minute levels scheduled for Day 1. There will be a 20-minute break at the end of level 3, 6 and 12, with a 75-minute dinner break scheduled for the end of level 8 (approximately 8 pm). Late registration will be open until the end of the dinner break, and players are allowed a single re-entry.

The action is underway in the 2018 PokerStars European Poker Tour Prague €10,300 Pot-Limit Omaha at the Hilton Prague with seven of the eight registered players taking their seats from the off.

Structure Change

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

The players have agreed to reduce the blind levels from 40-minutes to 30-minutes for the duration.

The tournament will also be played out as a one-day event rather than the scheduled two days, due to the €25,000 No-Limit Hold'em event that is also scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Chidiac and Soininen Get It All In

Level 1 : 100/200, 0 ante

The completed board was down {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, and Niko Soininen bet 2,500 from the small blind. Dany Chidiac raised to 11,000 from the big blind, and Jorryt van Hoof got out the way.

Soininen then three-bet to 25,000 and saw Chidiac move all in for his whole 45,000 stack, which Soininen snap-called.

"You have four-five?" said Chidiac after the tabled {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}{2-Hearts} for the straight.

Soininen tabled {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Spades} and also revealed he held a straight, which resulted in a very early all-in chop pot.
