Tsugunari Toma was crusing for most of the day but within 25 minutes that all has come to a crushing halt after losing a massive pot to Dan Abouaf before bowing out to Ole Schemion.
Toma on the button raised and faced a three-bet by Abouaf in the small blind before four-betting to 46,000. Abouaf five-bet and Toma six-bet all in to see Abouaf snap-call for 205,500 in total.
The board came and Toma was left with just 17,000. However, the Japanese chipped up shortly after before the remaining 50,000 went in preflop against a limp by Schemion. The German snap-called and the cards were turned over.
The board came and Schemion jumped out of his chair, celebrating and even high-fiving with Philipp Gruissem. He then apologized and shook hands with Toma, who left the tournament are with a smile on the face.
