Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a {5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board Bryn Kenney checked to Norbert Szecsi who moved all in for 194,000.

Two Eliminations Before the Money

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Lucas Reeves opened to 18,000 and Chan Wai Leong three-bet all in for around 20 bi b linds. Reeves called.

Lucas Reeves: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Chan Wai Leong: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop was a good one coming {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts} giving Leong a flush while Reeves flopped a set of jacks for the second time in as many minutes.

The turn and river runout of {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} was not so good for Leong, giving Reeves a full house and eliminating the Malaysian.

Meanwhile Victor Hon got his last 100,000 or so chips in the money with {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades} but Francesco Delfoco called with {a-Spades}{8-Spades} and bust him on the {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Spades} runout.

The tournament clock currently shows 64 players remaining, and with just 63 paid the tournament is now hand-for-hand.

Szecsi Chips Up on the Bubble

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

"A three-way pot huh?" Justin Ligeri asked his table. "I love three-somes."

On a {5-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} flop Ligeri checked to Nortbert Szecsi who bet 18,000. Aaron Lim then raised to 72,000. Ligeri and Szecsi both called.

The three players checked the {a-Spades} turn and the river was the {10-Diamonds}.

"No one got the flush?" said Ligeri. "I'm pretending to have king-queen of spades." He then bet 40,000 before quickly getting rebuked first by tablemate Kitty Kuo and the tournament director. Both Szecsi and Lim called.

"Two pair," said Ligeri showing {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"Straight," said Szecsi showing {7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Lim mucked.

"You mother..." said Ligeri.

Five More Hands Before Dinner

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Tournament staff told players that there would be a ten-minute break at the end of the level, instead of the scheduled 75-minute dinner break, and they would return to play until the money before breaking for dinner.

Players were unenthused by that idea, to say the least, so it was amended to five more hands (the first of which would be in the last blind level) before breaking for dinner. If the bubble burst, the players would be immediately sent on dinner.
